Publisher's summary

I'm supposed to return her to Tristan to finish the deal. But now I'm dreading the day when I have to drop her off. Can I really do it?

I'm not supposed to care about this woman. I'm not supposed to care about anyone, actually. But I care about Bellissimo.

Can’t wait

I will be sad when the series is over! One more book and I am done. I listen everywhere to hear what is coming next! I have fallen in love with all the characters.

Bellissima

I am not fond of twisted romance but I am into the Buttons series. Penelope Sky did an excellent job writing this series. I am infatuated with all the characters. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Love the series but so sick of the word “ incredulous “ . Seriously.

Love the series but distracted by abuse of the word “incredulous “ in book #5.
Looking forward to final book.

Wow!

I have loved all the books in this series and I'm sure the last book will be the same. Chapter 9 absolutely broke my heart. Michael made me cry with his performance. I love hearing about all four characters. On to listen to the last book.

Cane & Adelina; Crow & Pearl

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible review. Four POV (Cane, Pearl, Adelina, & Crow). Book 5 in the Buttons series. CLIFFHANGER. The majority of the narration is  in an average American accent even though the two male leads are Italian; Michael briefly adopts a British accent, an Italian accent, & a French accent; Samantha adopts a terrible Southern accent for all of Adelina's POV. Trigger warnings: rape; human trafficking; and murders.

Cane & Adelina (aka Bellissima) return to Italy after visiting her parents. 2 weeks remain of Cane & Tristan's deal that allowed Cane to borrow Adelina. Crow still feels betrayed by Pearl (aka Button) visiting Tristan so he tells Cane to talk to Pearl to find out exactly what went on. Cane visits Pearl. Constantine kills Bones' remaining men, takes over his business, threatens Cane, and now Crow wants to give up their arms business. Cane offers Tristan $10 million, $20 million, and even unlimited weapons for a lifetime to keep Adelina but he turned Cane down only willing to accept Pearl as a trade for Adelina and hung up. Cane returns Adelina to Tristan as promised, he gave her the cyanide pills so she could end her own suffering on her own terms, he finds the note she left him, goes to see Crow because he's going to get her back, he tells Crow he loves her, and Crow decides to help. 1 week after Adelina was returned to Tristan Pearl realizes she's pregnant, Crow sends Pearl away with Lars to a safe place, Crow & Cane both get tracker implants, they then attack Tristan's compound, kill his men and save Adelina but Tristan gets away. Crow is still concerned about Tristan so he doesn't have Pearl return yet. Constantine dropped by Cane's arms compound, Cane gives him a client, and the two men threaten each other.  Cane tells Adelina he loves her but she doesn't reciprocate his sentiment. Tristan attacks Crow's home and takes him. JP

I love the voices of each character.

Each character is portrayed with a unique voice that , when listening, which makes each character come alive. The male voice does not portray the women's voices as well, but each female voice is unique!

Now onto the book. I loved how much Button and Crow were so involved in the story. There were a few discrepancies such as Crow stated he was raised on his estate when in the first books he said he purchased the vineyard and the house when he was 19, but most of these errors where minor and did not impact the story. I don't like that Adelina was so so....I don't know. I found her too easy. I like Pearl so much more. The first three books were so awesome I have red them again twice, whereas while this storyline is good it is not GREAT but I would still highly recommend this entire series. I love Cane even though he is so different in these books. Could not believe the ending! Did npot see that coming. At ALL! Luckily I only have to wait two more days!!!!! Yeah!!!

Good continuation, but series too long

Too drawn out, and now I have to buy a sixth book. I see the next series (Scotch King) is in 3 parts. Probably won’t continue to support authors who do this, especially when it’s just “good”. Not great.
Male narrator does a horrible female voice. Also, in almost every book someone gets a migraine from being hit on the head. That’s not a migraine; it’s a headache. The author needs an editor.
