But I'm certainly not going to fall in love with her.

London is a lot more useful than I anticipated. She gets me what I need like a pro. With her by my side, I feel like I can do anything. My need for revenge is dimmed. My anger is contained. But her brother is still a problem. She wants me to let him go. I'm not sure if I can.

I absolutely loved this series. It was so hot and kept me listening, I couldn't put it down.

Mixed Review ***Maybe SomeSpoilers?***

I'd like to preface this review by saying that I don't like to leave negative reviews. Period. That being said, this is my first reading of anything by Penelope Sky. I can't say that I was enthralled by the series, but I was intrigued. I love reading about strong women and the men who fall for them. Wrapped into a bow is the fact that this is a "Stockholm syndrome" series, and you get blood, lust, sex, pain, and whatnot, I was able to complete it. The narration was to be commended, though there were a few mistakes on their parts. Mostly, misreading for the other character, but I'd never heard Michael before, and he was fresh to the ears. Sam was great as usual.

Again, I don't leave negative reviews. I did like the series, not my favorite, but I did like it. How old was London? Because sometimes her inner monolog led me to believe she was super young. Like maybe 19 or 20. Just questions her maturity factor, though she is compassionate and empathetic toward the end of the series for Ariel.

This book is categorized as being billionaire suspense/romantic with notes of eroticism. There was nothing erotic about their sexual escapades, except for the time he took her in her a$$. They just had lots of sex. There were some hot sex scenes, though.

I will chance another series and maybe a stand-alone from Penelope. I think it would be harsh to dismiss an author's hard work for one mishap. There were some things I didn't quite agree with, but this story is her imagination and I was privileged to read a piece of it.

Plot AMAZING

The story has AMAZING plot and so much spicy scenes! Usually when there is too much spice it takes away from the plot of the story but this series was not like that at all! Gave it a 4 star with performance just because it took me some getting used to the voices but honestly not that bad! Just not what I’m used to hearing! Worth every minute though!

Writer of the book out Done Themselves 👏👏 very well written. lots of suspense. At 1 point I thought things were going to be cruel.🤯 I was scared to death for the girl. Would be a hell of a position to be put into. I'm in the 2nd book now. I just thought I would come back and write a review for the 1st book. Such great writing for 3 books for just one credit wow thank you so much.😍😍👌👌👌

Penelope Sky never lets me down

I read this a while ago but thought I’d pick up on audible for a way to hear the story again. After reading all of the Buttons-related books, it was great to go back to characters before Button began.
