Publisher's Summary

A sexy new stand-alone from USA Today best-seller Sarina Bowen

You'd think a billion dollars, a professional hockey team and a six-bedroom mansion on the Promenade would satisfy a guy. You'd be wrong.

For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don't know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.

When Rebecca gets hurt, I step in to help. It's what friends do. But what friends don't do is rip off each others' clothes for a single, wild night together.

Now she's avoiding me. She says we're too different, and it can never happen again. So why can't we keep our hands off each other?

Sizzling - and yet a Boy standing before his Girl

A tech wizard - self made - and a Hockey team owner - awkward and brilliant - and an ordinary, smart girl - who needed a job and started with his company - a hole in the wall - and never thought she was worthy of the crush she had had. Sweet story - hopeful story - so glad we all got to experience this and the happiness of these two! Thanks Sarina - loved this and Pipe Dreams of late - as well as many more of your stories - looking forward to the next!

How do I feel about this book?

I don’t even know how I how I feel about this book. I’ve went back and forth from loving it to feeling meh. This is my first Audible book. I would say I enjoyed the majority of this book.

Great story

Annoying at parts as a little trite but a really good story. Who else would combine Hockey, tech and Mr Darcy...

Loved this installment of the Brooklyn Bruisers

I've loved this series from the beginning. It was great to finally get to know Nate after seeing him, but not really understanding him, in the previous installments. I thought he and Becca were great together and it was fun to see the romance that had only been guessed at by other characters. As always, Zachery Webber was a master, bringing both humor and heart to Nate. I enjoyed Virginia Rose as well and would definitely listen to other books in her catalog. Now I only hope that Sarina Bowen will continue this series as I am not ready to let the Brooklyn Bruisers go!!!

Great book and series

I enjoyed the narrators. I had been waiting for the book since I read book 1 and this series and was so happy to finally get an HEA for Nate and Bec. I do recommend starting at the beginning of the series to get the best listening experience.

Brooklyn is full of surprises!!!

I was looking for something a lot less intense than the last few books I've listened too. This was a slice of heaven. It had just enough bumps on the way to forever. There were twist here and hot sexy love everywhere.

The 3 narrator's are without a doubt pros and telling a story so good, that for a short time you are actually there with your book character's. Zachary Webber & Joe Hempel are on my favorite narrator list. Virginia Rose is newer to my ears but she was perfect as the beautifully sassy and intelligent heroine.

Cannot wait for the next book on the series. It great to get brief updates on characters from previous books in the series. The wait between books is brutal.

Sarina Bowen is a talented romance writer. This is at least my 8th book by her.

How long until the next Brooklyn Bruisers story to arrive on Audible? This waiting is torture!!!

What a let down.

have been waiting for this book since we first met Nate and Rebecca in Rookie Move. Man am I ever disappointed. Rebecca did a 180 in this book. In all of the previous books Rebecca is strong, capable, fearless, and endearing. In this book she is whiny, unsure, annoying, and just a mess. The fact that she allowed her sister and her boyfriend to just steamroll her pissed me off.

I understand that she is your little sister however she is a mess and invites her estranged, on again off again boyfriend to live with you and yet you say nothing it's just confusing to me. In previous books Rebecca has always been the nurturer and the caring type however I never had a inclination that she was a pushover. I understand that she feels obligated to take care of everyone around her but there has to be a line drawn in the sand when it comes to spreading yourself too thin. She was so focused on keeping her job so that she can take care of her sister, her nephew, and her sister's boyfriend that she neglected her own health.

Rebecca kept justifying her sister's actions by saying that her sister is in school trying to get her AA so she can't clean the house and she cannot really work. I don't understand. I understand this is a book however normal people go to school, our parent, and work in order to survive on their own. I just feel as though she just became weak in this book. She was completely unsure about everything. About her relationship with Nate, her job, and about her self in general. This was actually really painful to read just because Rebecca became the timid insecure individual when previous books never hints of that.

I do understand that there's a difference when it comes to somebody's outside perspective of an individual versus that individuals feelings however it just seemed so completely out of left field. I don't think I can get past the fact that she was just not what I was expecting her to be in this book. I was expecting her to be this strong badass character who lets Nate know that I have always loved you and I want you to love me for me. Not this person who at every turn is yelling at Nate letting him know that she doesn't want him and then in the next breath jumping on him telling him nothing about her feelings. The entire Nate and Rebecca relationship did not fully resolved until Chapter 31. There's only 32 chapters in the entire book that is saying a lot.

I'm so sad about this book. If you read any of my previous reviews in The True North series and The Brooklyn Bruiser series you can tell that I've been waiting for this book for a very long time however this book I could have lived without.

A nice, sweet romance.

I will start by saying this is a solid romance. The main characters have great chemistry and the situations that they become entangled in carry the action always moving forward. There is a great balance between sexy and sweet. For some reason the author wrote a few chapters with a 3rd POV and that just threw me for a loop. I understand how the character's past might be conveyed well in this form but I just couldn't click with those chapters. I do agree that the way the ending was done the 3rd POV worked well there. This is my 5 or 6 audiobook by this author and she never disappoints. The narration was very well done. I liked it but for some reason I felt it lacked in giving me a wow factor. It just seemed very "traditional" when I usually get more of a wow ride.

I was so looking forward to the audio of this book and it was better than I imagined. I love the trio of narrators and the way they give this amazing book the justice it deserves. Totally recommend
