My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.75
Story: 4.5

The end of this series. I've looked forward to this book so much, but at the same time I've dreaded it because I wasn't sure if I was ready for this series to end. But the author really did an amazing job with how she ended the series.

This series has always had this unspoken character in it...Chicago. And Chicago plays a HUGE roll in this book. And I kind of love that Chloe Neill did that because she took this amazing series and just made it epic for the end. I loved that.

So this book...it features the wedding. All the good things are happening for Merit and Ethan...and it is good. I love how they've grown and evolved throughout this series. For their relationship, they are in such a GOOD place. They love and respect one another and that comes through in everything. It's everywhere else in their lives that keep having issues. But they stay in a happy place, so I'm okay with whatever happens as long as that continues. Also, there was a HFN resolution for Jonah in this one that I kind of loved, too.

And I really don't want to say anything else about it, because this is the finale. I don't want to spoil anything about it. You need to know it's going to be good. It's a great finale. All the various story lines are taken care of. All the characters show back up. Everything is tied up with neat little bows and where things go in the very end are better than brilliant. I'm happy.

And note...if you listened to this in audio like me, message me. There is a single page in the back of the physical book that isn't in the audio about things to come and you WANT to know what it says! I promise...

I'm so excited.

Surprised

Sorry to see an end to the series it was a very entertaining and I will miss the characters. That being said for this to be the final installment for a well loved series this story was very lackluster. Although the story ended on a happy note the story itself seem to run out of steam and just ended. I am hope this story is the beginning of a spinoff with the child being the main main characters. One can alway hope.

The end of a series with an cliffhanger? WTF?

Overall, I enjoyed this series. It definitely had a predictable pattern, in every book but, since the good guys prevailed, I can live with that. It definitely could have been a more sensual series, in my opinion, but I enjoyed it all the same. My biggest complaint is that the series ended with an unrevealed prophecy of the future. Hell, that was exceptionally cruel; and aggravating. Oh well, I guess all we can do is watch and wait for a spin-off series. I’m off to find a new series to sink my teeth in to.

Really Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this story and it was a great listen. I struggled to hang on in the early days of Chicago Land but now really anticipate each new book. Blade Bound delivers a new and different story with solid appearances from the faithful cast. Looking forward to #14. - -Kevin

Fantastic book

This was one of the best books I have listened to anxiously waiting for the new series. Thanks for an exciting ride with the Chicagoland vampires and all within the series.

Story Great, Narrator not so much

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I truly dislike when series change narrators mid series. I understand sometimes it is necessary, but there needs to be more care with choosing the new narrator. Sophie just cannot do male voices and there are many in this series. Most were very similar and they all sounded exhausted or bored. The only one it worked with was the Grandfather. The rest just annoyed me. Luckily the stories kept my interest when I otherwise would have dropped the series based on the new narrator. I gave the performance a three since her female voices were good.

Any additional comments?

Hard to believe its over. Some was predictable but a few things came out of left field as well. I wonder if, by the way she ended it, if there might be a novella or two to come from her.
