Publisher's Summary

I had always been the invisible art student in high school. Passed by. Glossed over. Unnoticed. Now I was Aria Watson...that girl.

After one bad decision, and being labeled a slut, I was no longer unseen. I was the whore. The ignoramus. The tramp.

I would never be invisible again. Particularly to Levi Myers. He was the odd boy with the beautiful soul who accepted and understood the broken girl inside me.

Falling in love wasn't the plan. But how could I resist his promises of hope? Of forgiveness? Of a future I had stopped dreaming of? We were shattered. We were scarred. We were something strange and beautiful. We were two lost souls holding on to the only thing that could keep us together. Each other.

Great Story, Great Narration!

I loved this book. I loved that it was a YA with real life type of problems and that the characters were 16 years old and didn't act like it. The story line may have been a little heavy, maybe even a bit over the top with just how much could happen to 2 teenagers but with that said I love how they dealt with all of it. It was a love story about 2 people who became adults maybe to young but they grabbed on with both hands and tried to do the best with what they had. I enjoyed the friendships, the family drama and I loved that the main characters were exactly what the other needed. This book made me cry, made me laugh and made my heart all around happy. I listened to this book for a book club discussion and honesty this is a perfect discussion book with so many different things to talk about. This is my 2nd book by this author and I've loved them both and plan to continue with her books right away.

The narration of this audiobook was perfect. I loved both of them!

What a sweet love story

I listened to this for a book club. I likely would have never picked it up myself, but I'm so glad I got to eat up this love story. This was like literary candy, it was a sweet and enjoyable treat that left me happy. I loved the characters, the art and music references, the selfless, painful, hungry love.
The narrators were brilliant, I loved their portrayal and the way the story was told from the two main characters points of view.
The world is full of so much hate and anger, sometimes you just need some joy and candy to make it all better!
Happy listening!

TearJerker

If you could sum up Art & Soul in three words, what would they be?

Beautifully, heartwrenchingly broken.

What did you like best about this story?

This is not my usual genre. I was in the mood for something different, and then it came recommended. It exceeded my expectations. It made me happy. It made me cry. It made me feel.

Have you listened to any of Bailey Carr and Scott Aiello ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't, but I loved them. They were so good together. They were both wonderful, but I loved the guy's voice. I live in Alabama, and the accent was spot on. It didn't make me cringe like most narrators who try to do southern do.

Any additional comments?

Listen to the book. It is worth the time.

The funeral, and the Art show!!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This would be a beautiful movie!!

Any additional comments?

I listened to this for book club, and am overwhelmed at how much I loved this!! This was not something I would have chosen for myself..and I am so glad I found it! This is Aria and Levi's story...2 young people who found each other when then truly needed someone else and fell in love..it was almost destiny!! For a teenage set book, this was pleasantly great...very maturely written and I just did not want it to end...I listened and listened and did not want to put it down! I look forward to more from this author and I highly recommend this book...you will love it, I cried both tears of joy and sadness and am putting this on my all time faves list!!!!

5 Soul Stars

Wow, this book. First let me start off by saying amazing writing. This is the second book I have listened to by this author and again she has blown me away.

She is not shy and she tacked some huge topics all in one story. I can’t see that being easy at all but she made them flow so effortlessly.

I also loved the narrators, they were perfect for this book. They didn't sound to old, or try to play up the emotional scenes at all, very much enjoyed this audio.

Levi is 17 and came to get to know is dad better, after losing touch for so many years. Aria is about to deal with a huge life issues, but she has the help of her quirky best friend Simon.

Seriously from teen pregnancy, mental illness, OCD, cancer, adoption, abortion, miscarriage, life and death. This book covers so many topics at such a young age but in a way you get to see love, and strength, and devotion.

I also loved that even though this is “teens” it didn’t feel like an immature book at all. Not all teenagers are about angst to the point of madness. So thank you for that.

I just loved that friendship can grow from the unlikeliest of sources. And maturity come from any age, not just adulthood. Levi, Aria, Simon and Abigail showed us this throughout the book.

Very sweet and realistic

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book almost all in one setting. Pretty much every time I had a minute to spare I was listening to it.

I was hesitant when I realized that the main girl in the book was pregnant. I usually avoid books where the main character is pregnant or has a child. I guess since I don't want to have children, this aspect of romance books doesn't appeal to me at all. However, since the writing was so good, I decided to stick with it. And I'm so glad I did!

I love that the girl and her group of friends are not in the popular crowd. They are in fact far from it. They have serious flaws and I absolutely love them for it!

As a psychology major, I love the aspects of mental illness and how it can affect a family.

I love that the guy didn't once say, "I'll take care of your baby, and I'll love him." This would have just made me roll my eyes. Instead, that wasn't brought up at all. The guy didn't have a wish to be a father. He just really liked the girl and accepted her and whatever came about.

I also love the ending as far as what happens with the baby.

I felt like the whole book was a very realistic. And obviously I loved it. lol

WOW, Still Crying!

Art & Soul was so well written and the narration is perfect. I love the back and forth between the female lead and make lead. I started listening this morning and finished this afternoon as I did not want to stop listening. Art and Soul was a different kind of love story. I will definitely listen again. I hope you enjoy as much as I have.

AMAZING!!

One of the best books I've read in a loooong time!! I laughed & cried from it. Amazing is the only word to describe it.
Great narrators on both parts too, which is sometimes hard to find in audible.
I love it! I want more ❤️ Brittainy Cherry is an awesome writer.
