Publisher's Summary

In the sequel to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden, Mia has two choices: remain hidden from the Russian mob determined to murder her, or become a sworn member of Dominic's werewolf pack. Being Dominic's human lover is pleasurable while taxing. She wants more commitment than he can give. Except werewolves never marry humans. Carnal desires aside, will she accept her status within the pack in order to share what little time she has with Dominic until he takes a werewolf mate?

Dominic is torn. If he gives Mia beta status, his pack will mutiny. If he doesn't, she'll leave. Her stubborn independent nature will turn his world of strict pack rules upside down. He loves her, but his pack rules will never allow him to claim a human as his mate. Worse, he's drawn to Mia's addictive blood. Was one taste too much?

Despite breaking the witness protection rules and looming danger, Mia is determined to visit her ailing grandmother. Can Dominic protect her from the mob, as well as from his kind? As their passion reaches a fevered pitch, will circumstances crush their happiness?

Werewolves, Mobsters and Mother-in-laws...OH MY!!

What did you love best about Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept?

The interactions Mia had with each of the pack members was interesting. Each one was unique and well defined. I like that the origins of the werewolf world is so different from other stories. Mia's struggle with pack society is a curious dynamic. Almost like going back to high school as an adult in my nightmares!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept?

Without giving any spoilers....2 wordsPanty Sniffer

Which scene was your favorite?

When Mia meets Mommy's mate pick for her son.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I DID!!

Any additional comments?

Augusta Rivers did an ok job of narrating, but Megan Kelly from book 1 is my preference.<br/>I received this in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Preferred reader of 1st volume

Hard to stay invested in the narration, as the narrator changed between volumes. Will have to listen to again.

Kept (Listing)

Well, no surprise: I liked this to! To bad it has a not so good narrator as the last one. Augusta Rivers is no Meghan Kelly! Acutely really far from it! The book suffers for it too, not only am i still liking the story. I am loving it. Eva Gordon is still keeping it HOT. That is why i am a bit sad about Augusta Rivers made me rethink if i liked this type of books.

I would give Augusta Rivers 2, 5 if that was possible. Good that Eva Gordon keeps it going steady at a 4,6 all out of 5. The story gets more meat (No pun intended) and i cant WAIT to next book! So i want to say: Loved the book, not the narrator.... I think that was pretty clear!

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author

Fun Series!

Kept is Book 2 in the Alpha Wolf's Pet Series and continues where the first book left off. Resigned to her &quot;pet&quot; status, Mia still longs for a commitment from Dom - one that is forbidden by pack rules. Danger still lurks for poor Mia, both from the mobsters and the pack. When plans to see her grandmother go sideways, will Dom be able to protect her?

I'm really enjoying this series and Kept didn't disappoint. Packed with hot romance and even more action and danger than the first book, there was never a dull moment. After moving into Dom's home, Mia soon realizes that there are a lot of rules to follow in the pack society. Some of them are brutal and humiliating but she is left with no choice but to accept them. Don't mess with the Alpha or his pet! My only criticism of this story would be the narration. I immediately noticed that Book 2 had a different narrator and I quite honestly preferred Meghan Kelly over Augusta Rivers. The narration was okay, just not quite as good as the previous book. I'm looking forward to finding out if Mia finally gets her HEA. I would recommend Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.

Kept

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book better than the first book. This book picks up right from the end of Hidden, Mia is still running from the Mob, but has accepted to become Dominic's pet. There are twists and turns all through this book. And also some lose of characters. And it makes it hard pause/ put it down when you need to.i now can't wait to get my hands on the third book Hunted. <br/>Would I recommend this book YES

Interesting Follow Up

I enjoyed this sequel to the Alpha Wolfs Pet Hidden Mia has a very interesting dynamic with the pack and allot of decisions to make. She is in a world with a lover who can never give her a commitment by pack rules. Mia does not know that Dom is completely addicted to her blood or the power she holds over him. Can old rules change or will she loose her lover forever? Augusta Rivers narrated this and although she did an Ok job I enjoyed Megan Kelly's narration of the first in the series better. I received an ARC for an honest review.

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Alpha Wolf’s Pet series written by Eva Gordon and narrated by Augusta Rivers. Dominic is torn. He loves her, but his pack rules will never allow him to claim a human as his mate. Worse, he's drawn to Mia's addictive blood. Despite breaking the witness protection rules and looming danger, Mia is determined to visit her ailing grandmother. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Alpha Wolfs Pet book 2

Life for Mia gets way more exciting in book 2 with her pet status, learning of the wolf existence, the mob, and following pack rules that she does not even know. This story is action packed and a fun listen.

The story continues...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story was interesting but I was not crazy about the narrator. Before narrating a book it seems you should be sure you know how to correctly pronounce words... such as foliage pronounced like foilage...not sure whether it's a case of her pronouncing words incorrectly or the incorrect word being used in the written story...without seeing it, it's hard to know. Overall the story was entertaining, and I like how characters were further developed and story lines progressed at a steady pace. I am curious to see how the story ends for Mia and Dominic. Theirs is a love that should endure, but because of pack obligations they have a lot to overcome...especially their possessiveness over each other.

Who was your favorite character and why?

While I was not crazy about the somewhat nasal tone used for her, I think Mia is my favorite character. She finds herself in one crazy situation after another where her life is threatened, but she doesn't give up, fighting back and trying to find her own place in her new life.

Did Augusta Rivers do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

There was some variation in the voices used to depict the various characters, but it was sometimes difficult to know whether comments made were in the character's head or said aloud. The narrator for book 1 did a better job at differentiating between the two.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

While I would have enjoyed listening to this all in one sitting, it was easy enough to pick up as I was only able to listen to it in 20 - 30 minute increments.

Desire, Danger, and Obsession

What made the experience of listening to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept the most enjoyable?

The narrative is more than just description. You experience the emotions, can feel the tension through the narrator between characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alpha Wolf's Pet, Kept?

Mia's experience with Doms mother and her feelings and thoughts knowing that she would never be Doms forever, then her journey to California not knowing what will be facing her.

Which character – as performed by Augusta Rivers – was your favorite?

I liked Oak. (Hopefully that is how it's spelled)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The loss of her grandmother and that her grandmother did have times that she remembered Mia and wanted her safe.

Any additional comments?

I have always been an avid reader, but now really enjoy listening to a book as I don't have to put down while driving and can continue the story even while cleaning.

Review

After listening to the first part of this series I could hardly wait to start this second one. I am enjoying it so much it is a brilliant story. Mia and Dominic are very much in love but it seems doomed to me. The authors way with words and the narrator's skills do a masterly job at pulling at my heartstrings. I feel so sad that pack law will probably end up breaking their hearts if a miracle does not happen. As in the first part, the underlying story of Mia being in hiding from the mob continues to be very exciting. There is everything to love about this series I would rate it a must read if you follow this genre.
