Publisher's Summary

A lot can happen in 10 years, and Gwen and Craig have been there for each other through it all, from meeting on the playground to juggling college finals. But their long-standing friendship hasn't been without its challenges.

Gwen keeps her emotions locked down tight, and when someone hurts her, she shuts down and shuts them out. Craig has always been her hero, but when one night leaves her broken, she realizes he has the power to hurt her the most.

Unable to get past Gwen's emotional barriers, Craig focuses on baseball and reaching for his dreams, but he misses his best friend. He wonders if he'll ever have the same relationship he did with the girl he met 10 years ago.

When the barriers finally come down and their true feelings are revealed, will they finally become the couple everyone says they're destined to be, or will the darkness from Gwen's past tear them apart forever?

Warning: this story is meant for listeners 18 and older.

A story that will test the time of friendship...

Would you try another book from Bethany Lopez and/or Honey St. Dennis?

I have been a fan of Bethany Lopez's books for some time now and will continue to read and/or listen to anything she writes.

As for the performance by Honey St. Dennis it would depend on the story she is narrating. As my first time listening to her it was not one that I could fully get into.

What didn’t you like about Honey St. Dennis’s performance?

I am not a fan of this narration. The flow of the story felt somewhat rush, sounded the same throughout the read, and did not give me any feels when listening to a story being told. For this particular book I had preferred reading it on my own.

Any additional comments?

“This audiobook was given by the authors', narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

I enjoyed this 4 stars book about long-term friendships and how over time things happen and people grow up and whether to see if time can truly test them. Needless to say in Gwen and Craig’s story…years have past and they both have feelings for more with one another but something is holding them back. Their story is more than just the typical breaking of their friendship if things turn bad it is that if walls are not broken down it can be driven to despair. With out revealing anything I will note that some scenes can affect the faint of heart, which in turn will either make or break the long-term friendship.

Great as a Stand-Alone or in the Series

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. I have listened to this book and one other in the series and was pleased to find that I didn't have to know the stories that came before or after. I have added one or two more from the series where I can get on sale, and added the remaining books to my wishlist. The characters and stories have peeked my interest and I want more.

Yes

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Adding a male reader

Any additional comments?

I wasn't sure I would like this, and I was happy to find I did. its a sweet story line. However, the audio was kind of slow and hard to get into, and the flash backs were not always clear.
With that being said, this is worth the read, its a fun plot and interesting read.
I was given this free copy, in return for my unbiased review

Sweet love story

I was gifted this audio ARC for a honest and unbiased review from the author/narrator
This is my first read by Bethany and I look forward to checking out the rest of this series. This can be read as a standalone. This story is a heart warming story of a couple over a 10 year period. I enjoyed Honey St Dennis . She did an awesome job at differentiating between the male and female roles without pausing.
Yes take a chance on this series

Friends To Lovers Romance

Any additional comments?

10 Years is Book 5 in the Time For Love series and is a standalone. An event in Gwen's past has left her shy and guarded. She and Craig become best friends until Craig's mistake leaves him shut out of her life. After years of loving each other, will they finally be able to admit their feelings or will they throw it all away?

I enjoyed Gwen and Craig's story and loved the flashbacks to their youth. The narration was very well done and it was easy to distinguish between the characters. I would recommend 10 Years.

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. This review is my honest opinion.

I CAN'T EXCEPT THE REASON SHE TURNED AWAY

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Simple and short. The entire premise wasn't realistic. A friendship that strong would have any problem worked out, especially when the families were close and they shred rides home from school. I couldn't buy it.

But it was well written and easy to listen to. Narration was good. A HEA story.

Sweet Friendship Shattered By What?

I read 8 Weeks (book one) in this series quite a while ago and enjoyed it immensely. I didn't realize that there were seven books in the series until I had the opportunity to *listen to this book in exchange for a review.

Book 5 in the series chronicles the lives of Craig and Gwendolyn from the time they are 10 years old to present day (their 20th year.)

Craig and Gwen went from best friends who shared everything to people who barely spoke due to a wall Gwen has put up. After constantly trying to get her to break down that wall with no luck, Craig continues to focus on his baseball career. That dream is met when he gets to play college ball for an NCAA team.

Gwendolyn throws herself into photography and keeps the reason for the wall is to herself. Not even her closest friends or family know why her feelings have changed for Craig. Or have they?

This has the feel of a young adult romance in everything but the mature themes and language. I do not usually care for young adult books but this series (or the two books I've listened to) are an exception. There is too much in mature scenes and language to remove them and call it young adult – it would also kill the story line.

I look forward to listening to the other books in the series!

Bethany Lopez and Honey St. Dennis are a wonderful team.

Not too exciting

I don't love the story but I don't hate it either. The narrator did well with most of the characters but the story dragged for me. All of the flash backs got in the way. The ending was very abrupt. I got this story via audiobook boom

A sweet, heartwarming read!

This is such a sweet, heartwarming read!! I just love a good friends to lovers story!! This shows the ups and downs of the friendship between Craig and Gwen in time period of 10 years. They eventually reveal that they have romantic feelings for each other. This is my first read by Bethany and I look forward to checking out the rest of this series. This can be read as a standalone however.
I enjoyed the narrator. She did an awesome job at differentiating between the male and female roles.
