Publisher's Summary

For the past year, talented chef Millie has been consumed with running her new catering business with her sisters, Dru and Tasha. It isn't until Jackson walks through their door that she realizes something may be missing in the recipe of her life.

For the past year, Jackson has been dealing with the fallout of his wife's abandonment. He's had to learn how to be a single father to their eight-year-old daughter, and will do anything to fill the void her mother left. It isn't until he commissions Millie for his daughter's birthday party that he realizes he's forgotten that he's not only a father, but a man.

They both think they're content in their lives, but sometimes the right amount of spice can turn an okay dish into a magnificent one. A Pinch of Salt may be all that's needed to bring Millie and Jackson the flavor they've been missing.

Dull

The story was all right, but I disliked the narrator. She didn't differentiate the voices, so I kept losing who was talking.

Slow burn with light angst!

Millie and Jackson are completely adorable. I fell super quickly for Jackson and his daughter Kayla. This is one of those audiobooks that just generally makes you feel good. It makes you smile sweetly and fall in love a bit yourself. I loved the narrator, Melanie Ewbank. She has a wonderful voice for the slow burn with light angst. This audiobook is perfect for a light, summer read that will quickly capture your heart.

Charming romance with all the feels

I had the opportunity to listen to A Pinch of Salt by Bethany Lopez, the first book in her Three Sisters Catering about sisters, Millie, Dru and Tasha. Narrated by Melanie Ewbank, this is Millie and Jackson’s story and it was sweet romance with a bit of angst.

Millie has been content running her business with her sisters and then one day Jackson walks into her life. Millie was sweet and caring and when Jackson came into her business asking for help, she was ready to help him. Jackson and his daughter, Kayla, have been dealing with the result of his wife leaving. He has been taking care of his daughter and ensuring she is okay. But when he meets Millie, he realizes what he has been missing.

A Pinch of Salt by Bethany Lopez was a sweet and charming romance with a bit of drama and angst. Jackson and Millie have great chemistry but have some obstacles to face during the course of their relationship as well.

Happy listening!

A Great Recipe for a Satisfying HEA

I totally loved this journey for Millie and Jackson. Ms. Lopez does an excellent job of creating the close-knit bond of Millie and her sisters. Thinking that her life is the catering business that she runs with her sister, Millie is thrown by her attraction to single dad, Jackson. Their chemistry is immediate but their relationship is not without detours on the way to their HEA.
Jackson contends with his wife's abandonment and the effects it has on his young daughter, Kayla. Ms. Lopez hits all the requirements for a satisfying story: couple chemistry, a bit of angst, humor, sexy banter, and love—both romantic and familial. I love that she gives a glimpse of what is to come for the three sisters and I cannot wait to read Tasha and Dru's stories

Loved the scene in the classroom

There were many things to like about this listen, especially the scene in the classroom. That was easily one of the most romantic passages I have ever listened to.

Millie and Jackson are a cute, mostly angst-free couple. They have a few things to figure out but their story does not get lost in the tall weeds. Thank you, Bethany Lopez, for writing such a sweet, non-over-the-top, it-could-totally-happen story!!!

I liked the narrator although there were a few times that I did not immediately know if Millie or Jackson was talking. It didn't happen enough to be annoying but it did happen a few times to be noticeable.

The story had a very fun and innovative HEA and that just added to the special.

Great Read

A Pinch of Salt (Three Sisters Catering #1) was a great read by Bethany Lopez. Millie has spent the last year working hard at running her new catering business with her sisters. One day she realizes that she may be missing something in her life with how much she works. That was the day that Jackson walked into her business and needed her help for his daughter. A year ago his wife abandoned him and his daughter and he has had to learn how to be a single father. He needs Millie’s help for his daughter’s birthday party and they realize that the sparks fly. I loved reading Millie and Jackson’s story and can’t wait to read more by Bethany Lopez. Melanie Ewbank did a great job of writing the characters so that you become invested in their lives.

Good book, bad narrator!

Cute book but, the narration was horrible and almost ruined the book! I'm still getting the other two only because they don't have the same narrator.

The English teacher & the Elvis fan

Millie and her sisters have opened Three Sisters catering and are doing well. When she meets single dad, Jackson, who’s desperate to host a tea party for his daughter’s 9 bdy, she is smitten. Can Millie overcome her insecurities and let love in with her own Mr. Darcy?
Great book with some lol moments. Loved the HEA for our Elvis fan! Can’t wait for the other sisters’ stories.
