Story
Born under a hunter's moon, abandoned as a child, I was raised to be a powerful sorceress - okay, a mediocre sorceress. All right, I'm good at glamour and can make things sparkle, if my spells don't backfire. It was foretold long ago that I was a child of prophecy that would unite the fae and humans of Candor. The only problem, no one told me, and now the king wants me dead. For I am Eden, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville, and I have to attend the royal masquerade ball - not to win a prince, but to avenge my parents. Even if it means pretending to be a fairy godmother....

Publisher's Summary
Seven vengeful sisters. Seven fairytale kingdoms. Seven daughters of Eville.
Everyone dreams of marrying a prince - except for me. I am nothing more than a pawn in my adoptive mother's diabolical plot against the seven kingdoms. I was the chosen tool, her sharpened blade that would cut the deepest into the heart of the kingdom of Baist. But like all deadly weapons, my wedding is two-edged sword that could cost me my soul.
For I am Rosalie, one of the adopted daughters of Lady Eville, and it is my duty to enter into a loveless and hate-filled marriage with the narcissistic Crown Prince of Baist. My choices and heart are not my own to give. Yet even in the thick of dire situations, beastly vengeance can give way to beautiful attraction.

Precious
I've loved all of Chanda's books and this was no exception. I loved the use of the fae, fairy/elf/goblin related stories aren't made often enough in my opinion! I also loved that her stories aren't full of sex and profanity like other books even in the young adult genre, which tend to be more tame than their adult counterparts. I feel like I can reccomend this book to any one in any age group and they'll find a cute, fun, compelling story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series when it comes out.

I have mixed feelings
On one hand, I liked the story and liked how it pulled on my emotions. When the story needed you to hate someone, you really hated someone. when you needed to be angry or needed to pity, that was easy too. The narration was also very good and I think Jesse Vilinsky helped bring out the feels the story needed.
What I didn't like was the prince. He was pretty much a judgemental and abusive jackass through the whole thing with maybe five minutes in the entire book where he acted like a decent human being. Serious rage issues. I really wanted a different outcome at the end but I guess it wouldn't be a fairytale retelling if the girl didn't end up with the prince in the end.

The story was a little convoluted at the end but it left it open for at least two more books. Some of the narrator's characters did not have much depth when speaking. The main character had a great narration.

OF BEAST AND BEAUTY
I really liked the book with its humor for about half of the span of the book,
Sadly the other half just went downhill after THAT, including her discovering the truth of whom she is and the fact that she is a PRINCESS, and she has other siblings as well.
Belle is a deathseeker and the PRINCE sander is a WEREWOLF
That being said the narrator did A good job with the narration and the book did end with belle and the beast together
This is a very dark tale, with a lot of hard ache, longing, and secrets and deciet that harm people when they didn't really need to.
