DELIGHTFULLY DARK, DELICIOUSLY DIFFERENT & SO GOOD

For me, L.J. Shen has written a five star enemies-to-lovers love story and the talented voices of Stephen Dexter and Savannah Peachwood brought the well-written action, the angst, the twists, the passion, the heartache, the sex and the swoon-worthy to life and made it a delicious five star audiobook.

Senator Wolfe Keaton is a cold-hearted, cunning alpha anti-hero.. he's dark, brooding and totally unapologetic for all he puts the naive, virginal, nineteen year old Mafia Princess through when he ruthlessly makes her his bartered bride. And the timid, loving, sweet Francesca Rossi, who had been groomed to become a dutiful Mafia wife, had her eyes and dreams clearly set on her childhood crush.. but all that changes the day her Boss father reluctantly signs her over to Wolfe. However, they have ALL underestimated what Francesca is capable of.. because, when cornered, the lamb will fiercely turns into a lion. There's danger, betrayal, blackmail and bloodshed.. and tempers will flair, promises will be broken, lives will change.. and the unthinkable will happen.

Worth a credit? Yes.. I absolutely loved it. Thank you.. thank you.. thank you Ms. Shen.. I appreciated and ate up all your skilfully planned and executed moves as the dark Villain and his Nemesis verbally sparred with one another and somehow slowly got under each other's skin. I was riveted by your tense scenes as they first harmed and eventually hungered for the other's touch. I marvelled at your endless talents to make me fall hard for such an ass.. by slowly peeling back his damaged tragic layers which revealed his incredibly precious and forgiving heart. I felt the verbal blows, I cringed at the dark angry times, I hoped and prayed while they glimpsed possibilities.. but swore out loud when they were wickedly snuffed out. I sighed.. and swooned.. and even drooled at the delicious things they did together, and got right, along the way. And lastly, I was blown away by the sweet HEA Epilogue.

Beautiful narration.

What a great book! I think that I loved it so much because it is so different than my normal reads! I loved the way the story flowed. It was not dramatic and all the parts made sense to me. The story kept me engaged, Well done Shen. Beautiful writing! Franchesca has so much hidden on the inside, when she is freed all the beautiful parts of her heart is allowed to show. Wolfe heart is hardened because of painful past. Bring them together was excellent. I was very happy with this book!

So many Wow's!!

Just WOW you guys! This is another killer story from L.J. Shen! She is a master!! This is such an amazing story, I freaking love Frankie! She is strong and whitty and even though she was sheltered she knew how to stand her own and I love that in a heroine! And Wolfe… that man infuriated me!!! I wanted to throat punch him in the beginning but he grew on me, I knew he was in there… like really deep down! LOL they are dynamite together and I loved every second! This book is all consuming and I recommend you grab it and see for yourself!!
The narration is fantastic!!! Savannah and Stephen are perfect for these characters!!

Had promise but did not deliver

Francesca was a cry baby teenager and her husband was a bully. Their path to love was disjointed and full of immature antics.

Just Okay

The ending was very predictable and overall the storyline was very unrealistic since it was set in modern times
