Publisher's Summary

Katie Winslow made a life-altering decision the night of senior prom. But once she realized what she had become, Katie wanted nothing to do with her new state. Running off to college seemed like a good idea until mating season hit. Now the fever to reproduce is so great she can't think straight.

Brindle Lindholm has his true mate locked in forever. If only Katie would come to her senses and accept that they are meant to be together. Mating season has come, and he knows Katie has to be suffering in heat. Brindle is the only one who can satiate the need, and even though his heart will have to stand the rejection that is sure to follow, he knows he must go to her. When their coupling satisfies more than sexual need, it changes their future, forever.

Short, Sweet, and Fun

Short? Yes. Sweet? Yes. Fun? Yes. Although very short, it is a perfect book to listen to while doing chores around the house or while watering one’s garden. I felt like it had a beginning, a middle, and an end. Could there have been more? Yes, there could have been more, but it still satisfied the need for a short werewolf romance. There was a bit of heat which was appreciated and although a short book I still knew what the characters looked like because she dropped description very well. I look forward to listening to more of the short werewolf romances to fill my time while I clean my house and do oddball jobs around my home. Lily S. Thomas - Author of the Ice Age Alphas series

AWFUL writing style

This is without a doubt the most poorly written published book I have ever heard. If it weren’t for the sexual content, I would say this is written at a 4th grade reading level. The story itself was short and cute but it could have been so much more. It seemed as if rewriting the story the correct way was going to be cost prohibitive so they just went with it as it was. Absolutely astonishing, and not in a good way.

Sweet Beginning

Story was interesting. Not a lot of action or deff, but showed how the main characters get together.

Is it bad that that I'm biased for Kenzie Cole?

Granted I understand they're the same collection just different stories but I liked the perspective switch each chapter and the thrill/danger intensity in her versions of this collection. However, I'm not a total brat. I will give this author a chance and get through a few more books first. Book 1 . . . 3.5 stars from me

Can Young Love Win

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, good series, steamy yet touching.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brindle: Winter Valley Wolves #1?

When Brindle offer to announce her at the pack meeting.

Which character – as performed by Erin deWard – was your favorite?

katie

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, stayed up until I listened to it all.

Any additional comments?

Katie decided to let her love claim her, turn her and make her a wolf too. Brindle was ready, she wasn't and ran from her new life, her love and tried to live her old way. When the mating heat hit her she knew the void of the last six months was nothing in comparison. When Brindle shows up to help her get through she vows it changes nothing.

Coming home again, Katie knows she can't live a life forgetting the change, but she still isn't ready to be with Brindle. What could make them both get over the hurt they have caused and regain the love that never really went away?

A story of young love and growing up. Touching, steamy and the start of another good series.

OMG AWESOME

This is a story katie and brindle. Talk about a couple who are not on the same page in life. Brindle is a werewolf and this true mate is a human (Katie). Once he mates her and turns her , she decided she changed her mind and ran away from him.

Brindle's heart is broken. Still he comes to help her then her heat hits but after she just kicks him out again so he goes home and moves on with his life. funny thing is katie has now had a change of heart but will brindle be able to forgive her or is it too late?

Loved how Erin deWard read the story it was like she was acting out the parts. Great job

Before I retired I'd had to commute 2.5 hrs to Los Angeles daily, the traffic was horrendous, audiobooks were my life savior. So I tried an audiobook instead of reading, I loved everything about it the Narrator's voice would change be it female or male and the emotions you could feel them as she read. Ms.Vaughn has made a fantastic series. Can't wait for #2.
Katie Winslow and Brindle Lindholm loved each other in high school. They were going to be together forever being that Katie was Brindle's Mate. Prom night was the night decided it was the night to become a Werewolf. But thing don't always go as plan and once it's done there no going back so she ran, taking off off to college. When Mating Season came she was in trouble,  the pain was excruciating and only one person could help.  BRINDLE.... I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder....

Q- Where does Brindle: Winter Valley Wolves #1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
A- As I've loved all my audio books so far, I'm just going to say that I LOVED Brindle in it's own way, I couldn't put a number on it.....

Q- What other book might you compare Brindle: Winter Valley Wolves #1 to and why?
A- Why do I need to compare books???

Q- Which scene was your favorite?
A- I loved the epilogue... entirely!!

Q- Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
A- I think a scene that moved me was when Katie realised that Brindle would always be IT for her & then found him at work....

Q- Any additional comments?
A- I loved how Erin's voice got husky when the steamy scenes arrived, also how she would start reading a little faster during the scene too... I was still able to understand everything, but I thought it added a little something to my listening pleasure.

Having read Brindle, I was excited to hear what Erin could do with it, having never listened to her narrations before, & I was pleasently surprised!!
