Victims win!

Great twists and more true to life as far as the police is concerned. I loved the way the victims saved themselves.

EXCELLENT USE OF A CREDIT or pay full price!

It has been a VERY long time since I heard a book that makes my heart almost beat out of my chest with anticipation as the suspenseful scenes unfold! I was extremely hesitant about getting this book since I don't read perverse graphic sex stuff which a lot of psychological thrillers are about, fortunately not this one (it does have nudity).

If you enjoy a intense psychological thriller, this author and narrator combo create a REALLY heart pounding story. It's best not to drive while listening to this book as the driver will forget what they are doing!

What a ride!

I loved this book. The story and narration are so good, almost too good. I usually listen at night because I have insomnia. I couldn't do it with this one. i had to listen during the day. I couldn't stop once I started though! Can't wait to begin my next book by this author.

Get another narrator!!

Well the narrator can make or break a story! And this one murdered the book. OMG!!! Every character sounded the same, which I hate. No variation! Men sound like women, detectives sound like the killer.🤦🏼‍♀️ Plus the singular voice isn’t good but then as a listener we have to endure it for the whole book and for every characters voice. I love this series can’t wait until the next book comes out, but if the narrator is the same as this book I might cry then pass. It has been torture!

Narrator made me insane

Even after trying for 5 hours, I can't imagine listening to her narrate dialogue for another minute. I'm going to return this one. She sounds like she's trying to read the book to someone in a room full of sleeping people. Her pauses between scene switches are almost non-existent and for about five minutes I thought the killer was someone else because I didn't know that she had changed scenes. Her male imitations are a bit freaky as well. The main character was so bland due to her narration. I'm so disappointed.

The Struggle

I absolutely love the Bentz/Montoya series but I struggled with the narrator. She was horrible.

Another great story

Lisa Jackson never disappoints. This one kept me guessing which is a rarely. On to her next one!
