So Awesome!!!!

Where does Unlawful Contact rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my Favorite I-Team books!!!!!!!! This one and Naked Edge!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Sophie and Mark both! Sophie knew what she wanted no matter what! And Mark was a sexy badass with a huge heart! Which I love!

What does Kaleo Griffith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Oh where to start on that one....Just awesome and exciting and very sexy when it needed to be!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the Prologue, so sweet when he sings her that old love song....

Any additional comments?

Utterly Riveting

What an awesome story, with unforgettable characters and a plot that will twist your guts in all sorts of directions. If you like light, fluffy books that you can listen to with "half an ear", this isn't the book for you. If you like action packed, emotionally intense books with a fabulous plot that take a serious look at very real but often unexplored social issues, then this book, heck, this whole series, just might be for you!

Unlawful Contact made me think about a few things that were frankly, quite uncomfortable to think about. It made me consider seriously how vulnerable inmates are to their jailers, how easy it is for these jailers to become jaded and corrupt. It made me think about how convicts have no real voice when it comes to defending themselves against abuse. It also showed how easy it is to be "framed" for a crime, and how just the accusation of wrongdoing can ruin a person's life. It made me consider how much trust we put in law enforcement personnel, and how things can go badly wrong when that trust is misplaced.

Besides the subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, messages in this book, the story itself is fast paced and action packed. Hunt is on the run, Sophie is an investigative journalist who, in the course of doing her job, gets caught up in his adventure. They have a past, and they have a very hot present, but do they have a future?

I've really enjoyed this series so far, but this book is definitely my favorite. It truly hit the nail on the head when it comes to benchmark romantic suspense. There was a couple of times when things got so intense I had to hit the pause button and compose myself.

Kaleo Griffith read this book with professional perfection. He kept me spellbound with his flawless pacing. I can't imagine anyone doing it better.

Brilliant pair

Pamela Clare's I-team series is outstanding. Kaleo Griffith could read the phone book and undies would go up in flames. Together, they make for an unforgettable and utterly enjoyable combination.

Amazing series

This third book in the I Team series is as great as the ones that came before it. Exciting, sad, happy, nerve wracking, sizzling. And another stellar performance by Mr. Griffith. Thanx! Now I'm on to the next installment.

Liked it!

4/5 rating: An enjoyable listen. Some negative points, but nothing significant.

I recommend this book for people who like crime mysteries.

On the plus side... great story, interesting characters, lots of action and passion. The narration is excellent.

On the negative side... the female character is annoying- she's supposed to be so smart but she acts stupidly.

What a story & Kaleo's smooth as silk voice; was.

Should I say more? Yes! I had to stay up all night for this one. I laughed, I cried, I hugged myself....and finally I prayed with the preacher and his wife Connie Stevens. And finally I worried myself sick about Hunt. Great story....Great ending.

Wow!

I think out of all the I team series this has to be my favorite one. I was pulled in so many directions emotionally. Literally on the edge of my seat the whole time.

5 stars for the narration alone!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this romantic suspense. The story sucked me in almost immediately, and fed me a steady diet of yummy intrigue, danger, and sexiness. The mystery involves an investigative reporter and an escaped convicted killer/decorated Army vet/ex DEA agent who team up to find his missing sister and uncover some shady drug dealings.

I saw a twist or two combing, but what a ride. The story itself is amazing, but the audiobook is on another level. I can’t remember the last time I was this blown away by the narration. Kaleo Griffith, where have you been hiding and can you please narrate more books ASAP? Please and thank you. The story is told in the third person and Kaleo manages to give dozens of characters their own distinct voice. Every. Single. One. He gives a nuanced delivery that is more of a vocal performance than a reading of words. If I closed my eyes I could clearly envision each moment. I can’t believe I haven’t encountered him sooner, but you’d better believe I’ll be looking for more books narrated by him. I’m also interested in reading the other books in the series.

I really enjoyed this one

This was a really fun read. lots of twists and turns. The book centers on a fugitive trope & law enforcement tropes, which isn't my usual *romance* theme to grab. I'm married to a retired military cop IRL,. Honestly, that life i's not that romantic or glamorous (AT ALL) so the idea of "cops vs bad guys, or "cop helps vindicate bad guy as true good guy" is not really romantic or a fantasy for me; and dang it, I want fantasy lol.
The book does cover some sensitive subject matter involving under age girls (children), which was very difficult to listen to being read for me. The idea is horrifying, but it's important to the whole plot.
The narrator is awesome. He really put emotions into his performance. I found myself crying along with some of the characters as he spoke. Very well done, even the different accents and inflictions. I will purposely look for this narrator from here out.
F/Main Character is very likable and smart. I love that. I dislike a whiny dumb female lead.
The M/Main Character is really perfection. I haven't read the other books in this series, this was my 1st go with it. I realized from the start that this is #3 in a series, but it absolutely works as a stand alone.
I do realize that reading 1& 2 will give me the stories to the other couples in book 3, and I'm slightly curious about them so they could be a nice read to flesh out the whole cast.
Not sure if I will read them though, as "cop gets the girl" stories are usually *NOT* my thing. Still it may be worth a read.
