Not one for me

I love the I-team series, but this book was not one of the best. I didn't find it as intriguing as the others in the series. However, I can listen to Kaleo Griffith read a manual on installing fuses and still be hot as ever. I will still read other books, but I was a little disappointed with this installment.

good but not the best

Our hero Gabe is just so wonderful. The heroine is too weak for my taste, so not my favorite. Good basic story, but a bit on the dark size. Pamela Clare uses some extremes that I do not care for. Kaleo Griffith could read the phone book and it would be sexy. Great voice and unstands what makes a male very sexy when he reads. He has got the IT that is for sure. Enjoy the series they will not disappoint.

Another Bit Hit

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Naked Edge, book 5, in the I-Team Series by Pamela Clare. I highly recommend not only this book but the whole series.Pamela writing is stellar in this series, it has drama, romance, and a story line that keeps you riveted to the story. Kaleo Griffith brings to life the characters of the I-Team.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Naked Edge?

Without giving a spoiler, one of the lead characters receives a threatening phone call. All I will say is I jumped out of my chair. I did not see that coming and I had read the book first! Kaleo portrayal of the characters is so true to form you cannot help but get caught up in the story

What about Kaleo Griffith’s performance did you like?

Simply put..........all of it!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I have no clue what the tag line would be all I know is I would stand in line to see the movie.

Any additional comments?

There are two other books that the author self-published that I would love to hear Kaleo narrate. She also has an up coming book later this year that I hope to see on audio.

Very Good......

I felt it wasn't as good as Book 3 (MY FAVORITE), but still very good. And the narrator did another amazing job.

The best so far

This was probably my favorite book in the series. Excellent characters and excellent plot. I also typically don’t love mail narrators but he is so good in all of these books. It is a great mystery and a steamy romance.

Absolutely Addicted to this Series!

The most descriptive story in the series. I could picture the mountains, almost smell the pine and hear the coyotes howling. While I've loved each book in this series this one has a special place in my heart. Having Native American Heritage the author did a wonderful job merging traditional beliefs in a modern world. The plot kept me guessing throughout. Most DEFINATELY recommend Cat and Gabe's story!

Great series, but this is my least favorite so far

STORY (romance/suspense) - The story is set in present-day Denver. Gabe (male lead) is a park ranger/rock climber and Kat (female lead) is a newspaper reporter. There are incidents involving Indians which occur at the park where Gabe works, and Kat (who is also part Navajo), is charged with writing articles about those incidents. What I normally love about this series are the awesome, suspense-filled story lines and the hot, romantic male leads. In this book Gabe is sexy and wonderful as expected, but the rest of the story fell kind of flat. There are bits of interesting Indian history instead of the mystery and suspense I've come to expect from this series.

Another complaint is that the characters have too many flashbacks. This author uses that as a writing style in other books in this series and her characters often talk to themselves and repeat past conversations in their minds, but IMHO her use of this technique occurs too much in this story. Complaints aside, the book does have a nice, wintery, outdoor feel and is still really good. And the ending is great!

PERFORMANCE - Kaleo Griffith, one of my favorite narrators, isn't up to his usual awesomeness in this book. There are a couple times where the end of a sentence is cut off and once where something is read twice. Perhaps it's a production error instead of his fault. I still love his sexy voice, and he's welcome to come over and read the phone book to me anytime!

OVERALL - Quite a bit of cursing and explicit sex. Recommended for females only.

The best series in this genre that I have read yet

This review is really for the whole series, as I loved all of them. Pamela Clare did a wonderful job developing the characters...both the men and the women. I think what I enjoyed most is that the the series moved through the different members of the I-team while keeping the characters I already fell in love with part of the story. And Kaleo Griffith is now, by far, my favorite narrator for this genre. I love how he used such distinct, but subtle, voices for everyone, so I always knew who was talking. I was so disappointed when I discovered I had listened to them all. Since then, I have been searching, with no success, to find another series with such great writing, strong & lovable characters, intriguing plots, and steamy sex!

pure smut

What would have made Naked Edge better?

I only listened to part of the first chapter. I was shocked at the graphic sex described in the first few minutes. That was all I could listen to.

What could Pamela Clare have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I have enjoyed Tony Hillerman's books on the Navaho people. If she were to keep it clean, I think this book would have potential

What didn’t you like about Kaleo Griffith’s performance?

I have nothing against the reader,

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

no
