Publisher's summary

New York Times bestselling authors Lisa Jackson, Wendy Corsi Staub, and Beverly Barton join forces to create a thrilling novel about love, revenge, and the dark secrets three women hold to a terrifying murder....

A Killer Who Gets Away With Murder Once...

It's been twenty years since the night Jake Marcott was brutally murdered at St. Elizabeth High School. It's a night that shattered the lives of Lindsay Farrell, Kirsten Daniels, and Rachel Alsace. It's a night they'll never forget. A killer will make sure of that....

Finds It Easier To Kill Again...

A 20-year reunion has been scheduled for St. Elizabeth's. For some alumni, very special invitations have been sent: their smiling senior pictures slashed by an angry red line....

And Again....And Again....

Three women have been marked for death. Tonight, as the music plays, and the doors of St. Elizabeth are sealed, a killer will finish what was started long ago, and the sins of the past will be paid for in blood....

boring and unoriginal.

repeats the plot at the top of every chapter and every character has the same love story going on. I got sick of hearing the same thing over and over. the writer gives us no credit for having listened to the beginning of the book so she tells us again and again and again what happened to Jake and how in love everyone was with him, kinda like how I just repeated my issue with this lame book over and over. ;P.

Decent story terrible narrator

This narrator was so very annoying. It was difficult to pay attention to the actual story because of the narrator. I should have read the book instead. Don’t waste your credit on this one.

Tolerable. wish I'd used the library not a credit

Narration. Okay. Concept kinda far fetched. Saw the killer pretty early. And so many pathetic people who could not get on with thier lives after 2 decades. Wow.

fair

Overall, an interesting mystery that had me guessing until about two thirds into story, then I figured it out, but the romances were just plain corny. I had to roll my eyes several times. It was like the main "mystery story" and the romances were just thrown in and didn't blend well. This was not one of my favorites by L.J.

well done - great mesh of three authors! Good performance, I will look for books from the two authors I didn't know!

A good whodunnit

At first I thought this was going to be too YA for me. But turns out, the teenagers with their Valley Girl accents were a flashback. The real story started when all the girls were 38 and nearing their 20th high school reunion.

Pretty soon, one by one, the women were mysteriously dying. Thus began my trying to figure out which of the friends was the culprit.

I, like many other reviewers, figured it out well before the end, which was disappointing, but it was still a good book. There were new relationships formed, old relationships rekindled, and pregnancies begun. But let me tell you, I've been to many of my own high school reunions, and this book got me to feeling glad that I wasn't one of the popular girls.

Decent mystery with a solid storyline.

Well performed and it keeps you guessing "suspense-wise". As it should be the good guys get the girls and the bad guys (and gals) get exposed. Not sure what keeps it from being a five star rating across the board, maybe because it has the feel of a " romance-mystery". Not that I hate romance, such as it is... I suppose I like my mysteries with an undercurrent of edge to them. Perhaps that is not too well- defined, but although this audiobook kept me happily returning to listen there is just an indefinable "something" missing that keeps it from receiving a five star rating. Perhaps what is missing is a feel of realism although I can find no fault with either the narrator or the writer specifically, it's just that after reading for many decades a five star rating is an elusive thing. However, both the narrator and Lisa Jackson are good enough to have me return to give them another fair chance to hit that ball outta the park!
