Publisher's summary

From NYT and USA Today bestselling author A.L. Jackson comes a second-chance, small town romance...

My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs . . .
The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.
A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.

My heart warned me. I didn’t listen.
I fell hard and fast.
He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.

Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door.
Sexier than he’s ever been.
Provocative and commanding.
Successful and powerful.
The man I always knew he would become.
But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again.

Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.

Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.
Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .

Critic reviews

"More of You is a beautifully written, sexy and swoony second-chance romance with a twisty, suspenseful plot that will keep you guessing and leave you breathless. This might be my favorite A.L. Jackson book yet." (USA Today)

Sooooooooo Saaaaapppppyyy!!!!!!🤢

Look, I love AL. I was so excited to see this one and read all the fantastic reviews, and this was good and hands down award worthy narration. But...... maybe I just love my alphas, which this guy is not!! There is so much wasted time and wordy self defeating dialog .....well yuck, made me want to slap the shit out of both of them.
If you are looking for a good cry and a long drawn out romantic lead, look no further!!
AL is always worth the credit or coin because she is amazing. But alas this one did not do it for me, I can’t deal with wimpy guys🤷‍♀️

I DRANK IT ALL IN & LOVED EVERY.. SINGLE.. WORD

Wow.. this woman writes pretty awesome second-chance love stories.. and first-chance love stories.. and absolutely no way in Hell love stories.. and, well you get the drift.. they’re all wonderful. Her characters have been damaged, her storylines have layers, the crackling chemistry is always palpable and her plots hold secrets and heartaches. ALJ kicks off her new series with an emotional doozy.. and she doesn’t disappoint because Jace the handsome damaged hero and Faith the grieving heroine were once each other’s everything, once shared so many first and once declared their undying love for each other. Until a betrayal blew their tentative young love apart.. and it’s ten long eventful years before these two soul-mates will be able to find their way back to each other.

Their rollercoaster ride had a wonderful mix of angst, drama, heartache, mystery, suspense, danger, sex, deep longing and rekindled desires.. and their highs and lows lead to revelations, remorse, redemption and a breathtaking reunion of soul-mates. Jace is a tormented tortured hero who feels unworthy and has only ever loved one woman - Faith.. and Faith had to make the best of her shattered heart and dreams after Jace, who’d been the love of her life, walked away from her at eighteen. But now he’s back to save Faith from a danger he feels responsible for.. a danger he’d die to protect her from.. and danger that will end in bloodshed and tears. Told from dual POV’s and, apart from the loyal and loving main characters, there’s also a very sweet three year old to add to the colorful mix as well as poignant historical chapters which were told in third person overview telling of a young love doomed and going hopelessly heartbreakingly wrong through no fault of their own.

Worth a credit? Yes absolutely - it’s an achingly beautiful touching second-chance love story interwoven with so many feels.. and, for me, there’s never any doubt when it comes to this very talented author’s bitter-sweet exceptional love stories. Great narration brought it all to life.. made it a powerful audiobook.. and made it an unforgettable listen.

I loved the narrators, but...

The story was too repetitive in places. There was a back and forth between past and present, and every time this happened, the male lead was written to repeat himself on his feelings...each-and-every time. And this goes on, and on, and on, and on.... I would have given this story a 5 Star review if the litany of the male lead's feelings, specially the self loathing would have been cut by half - at least. We do get the idea after the fourth, fifth or sixth time.

Too much repetitive inner monologue

The story line was good. But this could have been many chapters shorter if there wasn't so much repetitive inner monologue and just repetitive word vomit throughout the whole book.

Perfect Example of What a Book Should Be

My week sucked, until I listened to this book. First off listening to Andi Arndt and Joe Arden narrate a book is always a pleasure. Then when you add it to AL Jackson's talent to suck you into a story and ability to make any predictable moment a surprise somehow. It becomes the escape you need. If I needed to forget about life for a while, I would choose this book over any TV show or movie any day. Who needs a spoon feed imagination when you have books like this one?

More of my heart

This story gutted me! I love AL Jackson and she always delivers an amazing story with amazing narrators, however this one had a bit too much repetitive inner monologue… I think it would be perfect if some of that was cut out to make the story a little shorter. With that being said I still loved it so much! my heart broke into pieces for Jace and Faith… so many wasted years it makes me sad.
Most definitely worth the credit! <3

Good mystery but over the top romance.

I was drawn in by the mystery but the love story was just way too cheesy. Don’t get me wrong I love a good romance novel but sometimes less is more.

Great book!

This ended up being a wonderful book. It was a lot more complex then I thought it would be. I’m really glad I read it. Escapism at its best.
