Gripping & Heartfelt! Fantastic Story & Listen🎧

A.L. Jackson continues to wow me with another amazing novel set in her fabulous “Time River” series and I loved everything about it, from her impressive writing style to the wonderful characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. The characters are the stars of this book, they are easy to relate to, care about and maybe even fall a little in love with. Ezra Patterson, a widower, single dad of three, and Time River’s sheriff, is great with his young daughter and twin sons, but he is mostly a grump with others. Savannah Ward comes to Time River hoping to find her missing sister and is following leads from a journal she received from an anonymous sender, possibly her sister. In her car staking out a place mentioned in the journal, well, actually just sleeping, someone calls the cops on her because she is on private property. Ezra startles her awake and takes her to the sheriff’s office, but instead of arresting her for trespassing he lets her stay there overnight and tells her there is a job waiting for her at the diner. Since she plans on staying for a while, she takes the job and fits right in there and with the townfolk. Ezra took a liking to her and felt protective of her, even offered her his guest house, which she was hesitant to accept. After an incident at the motel she is staying out, he convinces her to take it. And his kids were darlings, his daughter with her notes just melted my heart. They all welcomed her and were happy to have her around. Savanah is afraid to share the reason she was in Time River for because she was not sure who she could trust. Ezra had his own secrets, a failed marriage and guilt that he could not save his wife, but he vows to find out what really happened to her. I love watching these two dance around each other, the chemistry between them was undeniable and they could only deny it for so long. They had their reasons, but when they finally give in to it, it was magical. When Savannah gets a warning to leave town, she does the opposite, and it gets her in deep trouble, can the hot cop save his little trespasser? This wonderfully plotted story has plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some charming moments to lighten things up, some mystery, twists, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. I loved all the layers and the complexity of the story, and it all played out, especially by the end when all the pieces all fell into place. It was great to see the characters from the earlier books too. A.L. Jackson, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧 📚🎧  Desireè Ketchum and Zachary Webber did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each their own voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who was who. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Ketchum was fabulous as Savannah, grasping all aspects of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and all in between, while Webber did the same as Ezra, the overprotective, sometimes broody sheriff. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and their voices for the children were just adorable. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance enhances this brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen. 

Favorite in this series!!

Ezra and Savannah were everything! Loved this so much. The narrators were amazing as well. The suspense kept me hanging on every page. Read this series. Time River is one of my favorite book small towns!

Small town, romantic suspense with all the close proximity!

3.5 stars. Claim Me Forever is the 3rd book in the Time River series, which I have been loving! This is a small town, single dad, close proximity, romantic suspense. The audiobook is narrated spectacularly by Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum!

Savannah ends up getting arrested for trespassing on private property when the story starts. Ezra is the sheriff in town and feels pulled to wanting to help her right away. He even finds her a place to stay and gets her a job! Ezra is a major cinnamon roll hero who just wants to protect and take care of her.

“Everyone deserves a safe place Savannah. Let me be yours. Even if it’s only for a little while.”

After a few more run-ins and things start happening to her, he asks her to move into the guest house on his property. Ezra is a single dad to his 3 little kiddos and has some hurt from his past he’s still kinda working through. Savannah has secrets as well for why she’s in town and what exactly she keeps get caught trying to look into. These two tortured souls find healing with one another, which was sweet. This one also definitely has a strong romantic suspense element to it! While I didn’t love this one as much as I did the first two in the series, this was still a good addition to the series.

hot and steamy

mystery and romance, I loved it! it'll leave you wanting more. I was left wanting a man like him.

Favorite in this series

Heavy on the romantic suspense. There are two mysteries trying to be solved. I loved the meet cute and the nickname the mmc Sheriff gives the fmc, little trespasser. Their chemistry was fantastic and he was incredibly grumbly.

Audio review: Desiree Ketchum and Zachary Weber were fantastic. They really brought me into the story and allowed me to get lost in the story and want to listen to one more chapter. They’re equally great and changing up their tone and intonation to change up when they are a different character.

Emotional and suspenseful

Claim Me Forever was a beautifully layered, suspenseful and complicated story that drew me in from the very first page. Ezra and Savannah are perfection together. Their journey was an angsty rollercoaster ride full of drama, betrayal, revenge and heartwrenching emotions.

Savannah broke my heart. Her life had been difficult and she has been let down by everyone that was supposed to love her. She’s distrustful and guarded and determined to find what she’s searching for in Time River. When she meets Ezra, she has a hard time accepting what he’s offering at face value because of her past. I loved watching her blossom under Ezra and his children’s care and how they helped her to open her heart.

Ezra was just as broken as Savannah, but he’s better at hiding the pain and rage that fuels him. Determined to bring those who destroyed his children’s lives to justice, his secrets are just as powerful and heartbreaking as Savannah’s. The guilt and sense of failure that he feels made my heart hurt for him. Savannah sparks his heart and makes him feel a sense of happiness that he hasn’t felt for a long time.

These two broken people have a connection from the moment their eyes meet. The push and pull relationship between them is full of a white-hot heat that is absolutely explosive. I loved how they were so open and vulnerable with each other. They brought each other a sense of peace that allowed them to heal while dealing with the tragedies of the past and present.

I both read and listened to this title. Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum narrate and they are fabulous as Ezra and Savannah. I’ve always loved both of these narrators because they bring all of the passion to the story and enable me to lose myself in the story. This was no exception and listening added a new layer of emotion to the story.

Claim Me Forever delivers a story that has it all: adorable kids, found family, sizzling chemistry, and a soul-binding love. Ezra and Savannah find their missing pieces with each other and they will give you all the feels. The suspense story underlying Ezra and Savannah’s story is also so compelling and added a thrilling aspect to this emotional story.

Single Dad Romance

AL does it again! She introduced Ezra, the Sheriff of Time River in Book One, who is also a single dad and it's assumed struggling with lose/grief. But finally getting his POV changes everything. The happy marriage everyone assumed he had was a lie...the truth is he was emotionally checked out...and on the verge of physically being out of the marriage. Until the day that changed everything.

Savannah is searching...searching for her sister and maybe things she didn't even know she can have. She arrived in Time River based on the clues from the mystery journal she received anonymously. She never could have anticipated the people and relationships she cultivates.

As you get to know each character, their layers start to be peeled back. Ezra is punishing himself for something he ultimately had no control over and Savannah is learning that there is goodness is people, and when they say they will be there for you, they are. And the love and adoration Olivia, Oliver and Owen have for both of them is unmatched.

Add in the perfect pairing of Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum, you've got yourself a five star read. Desiree really stole the show for me, don't get me wrong Zach was great but Desiree just seemed to go above and beyond. She easily transitioned between the kid voices, Savannah's voice, and my personal fav Ezra's voice (The amount of times I screamed and had to fan myself with AL's words in Desiree's voices...magic).

This story was so good! He's a cinnamon roll hero with swoony vibes for days! The narrators, Desiree Ketchum and Zachary Webber, were pure perfection bringing these characters to life!

Love this story, love love love these narrators!!

Claim me forever is a single dad small town romance. Ezra is the town sheriff and a widowed dad of 3 in time river. When Savannah stumbles into town with shadows in her eyes, and clearly running from something, Ezra can’t help the protective instincts that take over where she is concerned. Savannah is looking for someone but she doesn’t know who to trust. Even though Ezra is clearly trying Savannah has been hurt in the past and is very scared. It helps that Ezra has the three cutest kids imaginable

This audiobook has two of my favorite narrators and was extremely well done. This author always writes incredible romance with lots of plot twists. Definitely a story to keep you on your toes and always second-guess what’s coming. This was a one day read for me. I absolutely loved it.

I loved this story.

My first book by A.L. Jackson. I loved the writing and what a good story. Had me guessing to the very end. Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum narrated. They did a fantastic job. I can't wait to check out the author's other works.
