it's the Bible! the narration is really good the guy does a good job and puts emphasis in the right places. I used a credit to get this but it would have been worth the $70 all I can say is I can't wait I truly truly cannot wait!!

I have always wanted the Max McLean audio Bible. I absolutely love to listen to The Word and his performance is excellent. I highly recommend it.

Disappointing.
Sadly, you cannot choose what Book of the Bible you want to listen to, which makes it useless to me. For instance, if you want to Daniel 1:2, it is not possible. You must listen to the whole thing. Had I known I could have returned it after I purchased it, i would have done so.

The Bible becomes alive!
I have read the Bible through myself, but I am understanding it in a completely different way time. Max Reads it like the amazing story book it is and I am learning things never before about it. I highly recommend this version to anyone that really wants to understand the Bible.

Excellent in all ways. DOES have chapter index,
I have listened to this version before & enjoy it. For most I listen at 3/4 speed; for a few repetitious parts I listen at full+ speed. Max has a nice voice, but does pause a bit before many unusual Hebrew names. This is for ALL people since the Hebrews were typically as onery as the rest of us humans... This book will surprise you!
Mr MacLean does a wonderful job reading with enough expression to keep it live, but not too much to be dramatic.
I am a terrible reader who reads very slowly with terrible comprehension. But, I'm a great listener, so this has been a terrific discovery for me. I've already listened to it 3 times in the two years I've owned this copy. I plan to listen to it at least annually.
