Clear voice, easy to understand, no music

I was so pleased to find this, I have the exact same version on CD’s that I purchased 20+ years ago. I still love to pop those in my car, but wanted something I could listen to anytime. I now read the ESV, but didn’t find a version of that on Audible that I liked. There are lots of great audio Bibles out there, but I bought this one because it is voice only, with no music, and the narrator has no accent so it’s easy to understand, even when sped up. The version with the British narrator and music is also beautiful, but it’s hard to understand unless you are really concentrating. My only complaint is the chapter divisions, I wish it was sorted by books of the Bible to easily navigate. There is a reviewer who posted the chapter breakdown, so I will screenshot that and use if needed.

Searchable Now

I live this audio Bible. Mr. Sarris has a voice that I enjoy listening too. Mine downloaded in 72 unlabeled sections in order. . If I pick a section, it tells me what Books and chapters are in it and the desired chapter can be chosen. It isn’t hard to find what I’m looking for.

Finally had chapter titles!

The reading is done well, but it really has been tough finding where anything was. When there were parts it was a little easier, but when it became one unit finding anything was near impossible.

With this new update every Bible book and chapter is labeled, so you can find everything without going to a book description or written list to equivocate location.

Best option on audible

I prefer the NLT for everyday reading but this was a good second choice for listening (no full NLT Bible available on audible at time of this review). Narrator has a nice voice and is broken up into chapters.

it's ok... I wish I hadn't bought it

Finding a specific chapter or knowing where you're at is confusing. The narration is awesome.

No distracting music. Good, clear, even reading. Great pace.

I only wish that it had a better way to reference chapters.

I finally found how to select a chapter

I am using the android app. It took me too long to find where I can select a specific chapter.

Play the book and Click the now playing image on the bottom-left of the screen. Look for a select chapters option. All chapters are numbered 1-1000+ so it's tricky to know where to go. Look it up online I guess and make notes of which book starts where.

4 stars because this is a hassle to start playing in Matthew for example.

Not searchable

Performance and sound Quailty is wonderful. Cannot select a particular book or chapter. Must listen from start to finish. Unfortunate.

Zondervan's lack of labelling the chapters makes it VERY difficult to find books and chapters.
