Johnny Cash's unique voice, together with his heartfelt, poignant, clear reading, not overly-dramatic, but expressive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Give me another lifetime and an independent income, and yes.

I'm glad I was made to memorize the books of the NT in order, and that the letters of St. Paul appear in descending order of length, because I'm pretty good at guessing where to find the beginning of the books of the New Testament. This is a useful skill only because there is NO INDICATION where any particular book begins and ends. (PS: Part II, section 8 is Romans) and that is my only complaint. Otherwise this Audible book is an outreach from Heaven.

It Was easier to understand, to sit and just listen to the Word of God. I enjoted it alot

How can it NOT be good?

Some people like those big audio Bible productions with multiple actors and music and sound effects, but not me. This one is the best. Cash is one of the great American voices but also a man to whom the Bible means a great deal, and that comes through in this recording.

Awesome Listen

Very much enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash read the New Testament of the Bible. I can't say he was any better than other narrators (incl. Alexander Scourby) I've listened to reading the Bible. However, he was very good. Too bad he didn't do the entire Bible. I recommend this audio bible highly.

I love Johnny Cash reading of the New Testament. I wish I could get a recording of him reading the Old Testament as well.

Edit: the book is now divided properly by chapter. Great for reference

I don’t know if it’s audible or the publisher, but the only thing inconvenient with this reading is it’s not divided by chapter of even book. That’s my only gig and it makes this really hard to use as a reference. Other than that the recording quality is good and Johnny cash is top notch as always.
