Publisher's summary

As Father Magnus Falke, I suppress my cravings. As the headteacher of a Catholic boarding school, I’m never tempted by a student. Until her…

I became a priest to control my impulses.

Then I meet Tinsley Constantine.

The bratty princess challenges my rules and awakens my dark nature. With each punishment I lash upon her, I want more. In my classroom, private rectory, and bent over my altar, I want all of her. There’s no absolution for the things I’ve done.

One touch risks everything I stand for. My faith. My redemption. And even my life.

As if that could stop me. I need her pain, and her heart, and she needs my lessons in sin.

📖 This is my second Pam Godwin book and I can confidently say I am HOOKED! Tinsley is awesome! I love that she just wanted to live her life and make her own choices and mistakes. She is highly intelligent, compassionate, and stubborn — such a great mix. And Magnus… WOW! Hot billionaire turned hot priest… he was absolutely delicious in every way. I was told that he might seem unlikeable at first and to just stick with it, but honestly, I loved him the entire way! Because I got his POV, I could see why he was doing what he was doing, even if Tinsley couldn’t at first. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he still did some f-ed up stuff, but it 💯 added to their dynamic and he balanced it, even in the moment with caring things. Their love could not be stopped, not by age differences, contracts, vows, laws, or threats. Magnus and Tinsley are true soulmates who both deserve a magnificent HEA, and Pam delivered!

🎧 Stephanie Rose was very well cast as Tinsley! I would describe her voice in this as medium to high in pitch (for a female voice) with a warm and energetic tone. She has a natural cadence to her speech with clear articulation. She did a nice job modulating her voice to fit the scene, clearly indicating different speakers and showing emotion. She did a particularly fantastic job at showing Tinsley’s many sides through voice: bratty and arrogant, clever and quick witted, and caring and compassionate.
J Tipstone is not quite what I would imagine for Magnus. There is an age gap with Magnus being around 40, but this voice sounded a bit more mature. With that said, he is a very talented narrator! I would describe his voice in this as medium pitch (for a male voice) with a somewhat formal and authoritative tone, which actually worked really well for Magnus. He is very articulate and clear. I detect a very slight accent that I can’t quite identify, but I’d call it maybe North Eastern? He modulated his voice well when narrating as Tinsley well, totally changing the timbre of his voice for her more energetic and playful emotions.

So, it has soooooo much potential…

So much potential and then somewhere it fell flat…
Chapter 23-24? We’re they necessary? This is what I can remember… I love Pam Godwin but this had so so many unnecessary crap that it took away from the story… things like Magnus neeever liking anyone until an 18 year old shows up even though that wasn’t his preference? 🙄 were older women even a preference? It would have made sense if he fell for someone at least when he was younger… but nothing until an 18 year old and he’s almost 40? An Eek there…

I liked the pull and push in the beginning… loved the priest angle but a severer billionaire trope is something I’m personally tired off… I’d like to see more normal people and people falling for actions other than something they had no power over…

All in all the story was good.

Poor voice casting.

This is a book that didn’t translate well to an audiobook. The MMC sounded several decades older than the 40 years old he was supposed to be. Because of this, some of the spicy scenes (that were definitely hot) made me feel a little icky like my grandpa was reading them to me. Overall it’s a good book I would just recommend reading it and skipping the audio format.

Perfectly Cast, oh J. Tipstone

Remarkable book. The narrators were perfectly cast. J. Tipstone in the Deliver Series caught my attention as Luke Sanchez. His Hispanic accents are amazing. Here he plays a Catholic priest. And, oh wow. I'm gobbling up anything J. Tipstone. He's up there with Troy Duran, my favorite male narrator. I never give anything about the story away in these reviews, but this is an excellent book. Stephanie Rose was a great choice. She sounds like an intelligent 18 year old.

Just listen to it. LOVED!

Fantastic!

If you assume that a priest having sex with a student is the most taboo thing that might be in this book…god you are wrong, wrong, WRONG!

Wow

Forgive me father for I have sinned 😉💦 this book had me doing things and imagining things. Honestly I’m not sure if I can look at another Catholic Church again or a priest with out getting turned on. Loved it.

Lessons In Sin forever altered my brain chemistry. Anytime I could attend mass in the future, I will think of this book and blush my face off.

Holy hell!

this is an age gap romance with the priest also being the teacher, you'll also have to be into listening to a far amount of sadism and understanding sexual sadism and BDSM is also recommended to enjoy the book fully. but Holy shite its a hot listen, both narrator's did a great job , however J Tipstone put his all into this performance an rung out every ounce of emotion portrayed in the book giving an excellent narration and listening experience.

Brilliant!

A compelling, intense story of passion, sin and grace, of love that transcends boundaries and defies norms...and I have loved every minute. J Tipstone and Stephanie Rose are excellent. They bring the intelligent, feisty, vulnerable, stubborn, beautiful Tinsley and intense, passionate and equally stubborn Marcus, steaming into life. fabulous listen! 💖💖💖💖💖

Wow!! Forbidden seduction

Do yourself a favour and read this if you enjoy the truly forbidden, the lustful charged with emotional connection of a priest and his charge. What turns out to be forbidden turns out to be a joining of two lost souls. Mind blowing!!
