It's not just a Hero and Heroine loving each other , it's about building each other up. Holding them close when they're falling apart, and giving each other tiny pieces of their souls . Not in Grand gestures like taking a bullet for them or abandoning their careers , but small sensitive things, like humming their favorite song, cooking a simple meal for them, holding their hands when they're down. Picnics and stolen kisses , embracing the scars and kissing the hurts.
I loved Decker who made my heart race and thighs tremble !

I mostly listened, but read along when I could. The narrators did a great job bringing this book to life. I loved the duet style narration and getting to experience my first Pam Godwin book in audiobook.

Interesting story line!!

The story was interesting, and I was hooked immediately. I listened to this in one sitting. The narration was good and kept me wanting more. Layne’s character development and journey of healing from trauma was done so well, and Decker allowing her to heal the way she needed to was chef’s kiss!!
