Publisher's Summary

The story that kicked off the international number one best-selling Vampire Academy series is now a major motion picture!

St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school - it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic, and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now, they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s - the very place where they’re most in danger....

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi - the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires - make Lissa one of them forever.

Love the book. Horrible narrator

Story line was great.
The narrator was horrible. She made all the characters sound like little cartoon characters, either little doll like or evil villain. Stephanie Wolf should have just read the entire book in her “normal” Rose Hathaway characters voice.

Story is great but the narrator is a bit boring.

It feels like the narrator was a bit new. I wish she would get more into the characters and voices like the narrator for Harry Potter and the Graceling series. I have already read the book so it didn’t really take away from the story for me, but I wish she would have seemed more into it.

Love the novel—HORRIBLE narrators!!!!!!

I absolutely love this novel I have a tattoo on my neck just like Dimitri & Rose! This is one of my all-time favourites I highly recommend it sadly though the narrator is horrible! I do not know why the person is so terrible at trying different voices and making it cringe worthy at times because this truly is an awesome novel & series, but as far as audible goes I can’t give it a good score!!!! Read the book you won’t be disappointed I love it hopefully you will as wel!!!

What A Great Book

I really enjoyed the plot line, and the narrator. I love the characters, except for Lissa's voice, it sounds really nasaly and annoying in this book, but its better in the next. i cant wait to read the other books😍

Love the book, narration could be better

I love this series, I’ve read it multiple times and will continue to enjoy it again and again. I decided to buy the audio as a companion to my kindle and printed versions. The narration is interesting...some of the accents and voices are a bit cartoonish. While that aspect made me roll my eyes at times, it shouldn’t keep anyone from enjoying this and the subsequent books.
The Vampire Academy series is YA, but I would liken it to The Hunger Games in that while the characters are younger, they deal with serious and thought provoking issues.

Vampire Academy

I have read this book several times but this oral presentation has allowed my mind to wonder and imagine and allowed me to really take in the story. I wish the movie could have the same result. I sincerely enjoyed this presentation.

Worth the time

Great for young adults. The universe is well developed with many different types of cultures.

If I was 16 again...

Younger me would have eaten this book up. The story is interesting if not a little slow moving. The narrator is meh. Not horrible but not great either. Undecided on if I will continue with the series or not...

Love the book, narrator so-so

Love this series so much, one of my all time favourites. Really well developed characters with fun teen drama and vampirism thrown in! I'm glad they changed the narrator for the rest of the series though, this one couldn't do any other voices without making them sound like they had a speech impediment
