Publisher's Summary

Phoenix "Nix" Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his pops got them into was difficult. Until he meets Kadence. Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student's father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious, and dangerously sexy, and for some reason, Kadence can't seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won't give in without a fight. The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce. A man that wants what he wants and a woman that will fight him every step of the way.

This audiobook contains mature themes.

Decent Light Hearted MC ~ Worth The Listen!

After listening to Hetch by River Savage, I was ready to dive into her MC series, Knights Rebels, and thought book one was great. It wasn't as dark, intense or suspenseful as other MC's I've listened too, but the sexy, dirty talking, alpha biker more than made up for it. The chemistry between the H/h was hot! Kadence was sassy, stubborn, and tried to deny her attraction to her student's father Nix, but who could resist a overly confident, dominate male who won't take no for answer. In addition to all sexual tension, and foreplay, there's lots of drama, angst and minor violence.

My only complaint would be the writing style, it wasn’t always smooth. Savage can write a really good scene, but throughout the story a new scene would abruptly start and you would have to process the previous scene ended. I felt the transition between the scenes could have been smoother; however, this was a minor annoyance for me, and I enjoyed the overall plot and thought both the main and secondary characters were well developed. Not to mention all the steamy erotic scenes!!!

I liked both Joe Arden and Lidia Dornet's performances. Joe did an excellent job portraying Nix's dominate dirty talking personality.

This is definitely a series I want to add to my collection of MC stories for variety, and balance. Well worth the time, credit or sale.

Great story but a bit too fluff for an MC book

In all honesty I would give this book a 3.5

In my opinion these is something about MC books that have a bit of bad and dark that makes the men so darn irresistible.... This book is not what I expected.

Nix is the president of a "reformed" MC club. Yep... The club is all legit. One of the things I found outrageous was Nix walking around opening talking bout club business... It just didn't fit. Anyway beside this little flaw he is a dominant male who goes after what he wants. He was Kadence. Kadence is a teacher and so in over her head when she falls hard for the parent of one of her students. In the end it all works out but its the journey there that make this story interesting. There is fighting, laughing, crying and hot hot times that will keep any romance lover entertained. As for narrators, they both did a good job. I might try them if I come across another of their narrations but they are not one of my go to people.

Two thumbs down

I really don’t mind a dominant male lead but Nix is more controlling a**hole than dominant man. I’m not going to be able to stand to finish this one. I’m glad I got it as part of the romance package and didn’t waste a credit.

A SEXY, SASSY ROMANCE & A DIRTY TALKING ALPHA HERO

When the hot 37 yr old President of the Knight's Rebels MC walks into his son Zayden's classroom, summoned there by his Teacher, Phoenix (Nix) doesn't expect to be blown away by the feisty, fierce and beautiful Kadence. Kadence was expecting Zaden's Mother to turn up not the tall, leather-clad, sexy, bossy Nix whose mere presence sent her dormant libido straight into overdrive. And it wasn't long before his demanding Alpha attitude, his dirty talk, his smart sassy and gifted mouth and his relentless pursuit finally had her beneath/on top/alongside/in front... etc., of him.

It's an instant lust, instant chemistry and instant everything else as the 'hardass' biker was actually a possessive, bossy pussycat when it came to Kadence and his son which made for a sweet romance but not necessarily a tough gritty biker one. There was plenty of angst and drama with the sub plots of turf wars, a delusional ex wife, a vicious ex fiancé, a neglected 11 yr old boy and a kidnapping that had bloody and long lasting consequences. There's plenty of passion and raunchy sex, the Knight's Rebels MC is a clean Club.... no drugs, no treating the women badly etc and they look out for the wellbeing of the town's citizens and the MC members all seem very likeable characters.

I really enjoyed this listen, yes it was a bit of a 'watered down' MC biker story with caring characters and a loving romance but the kidnapping put a heartbreaking and bloody twist to the dual POV story and I had no issues with the dual narration.

Worth a credit? Yes, there was fun, a hot Alpha Hero, a Heroine with attitude who overcame a bad history which left her with scars and an action-packed story whether it was filled with sex, drama, tension or heartache.

Average read

Nico is hot. The story does pick up after a few chapters. It starts out with sex, sex and more sex. The story begins in the middle of the book. It's okay ... not my favorite listen ... I did not want to finish in one sitting.... I kept putting it aside for a better read. Worth a sale.

MY NEW FAV MC!!!

I love a good MC series, and this one is my new favorite!! I signed up for the romance package through audible and so far it's SO worth it. This series is the first I've sampled through the package and I'm loving this new option for listening.

Talk about hot and sexy, this book definitely delivers! There's action, romance, comedy, and a sexy group of bad boy bikers that I can't wait to see fall head over heels in love. I'm new to River Savage books, but I'm an official fan now, and will be scheduling in a binge listen of the series post haste!

Rape on First Date

I was horribly misled by the reviews that called this MC novel light-hearted and mild. My idea of good, entertaining romantic fiction does not include rape on the first (or any) date. Sexual violence is a felony, not an erotic experience.

Biker Phoenix was relentlessly crude, violent, degrading and insulting toward his son's teacher Kadence. When she told Phoenix no to the going on a date, he threatened to beat her in front of witnesses. When she didn't want to ride on his bike, he used force, leaving her covered in bruises. When she said no to sex, he fucked her brutally and without remorse, like the sociopath he was.

Sadly, Kadence passively submitted to being bullied, humiliated, and raped, evidently believing that women do not process any human or civil rights. Since most teachers understand that bullying and sexual assault are crimes, Kadence was not qualified or responsible enough to care for children, particularly young girls.

Because I disliked both the main characters, I gave up listening after the second rape. The only sympathetic character was rapist's son, who witnessed his father hatred toward women and who would probably become a sexual predator too.

Took a bit but SO worth it!

This was such a sweet story! The badass biker falls hard and fast, while the heroine has to overcome some struggles before she realizes her feelings. A little action is also brought in at one point and OMG THE STEAMY SCENES! I love it.

good plot line, bad characters

Just my opinion but I strongly disliked the female lead. I really hate it when authors mask stupidity and weakness as "strength" why do women in these books think they can stand up to drug lords and bikers and not get hurt?! GAH! it's so beyond unrealistic, and ridiculous. the female lead pushes away the one guy trying to protect her and help, and literally walks up to the guy who left her for dead? I'm kinda invested in Holly's story so I'll read the next book but I hope we get a stronger female lead.

porn disguised as trite love story

Enter the elementary teacher whose conference with a student"s motorcycle riding father leads to instant attraction and lots of graphic sex amid much inner dialogue; "I'll just have sex with him once and get it out of my system." And then the hot biker guy of course has his own inner dialogue; "Gotta have me some of that pussy, but wait, I'll just fuck her once and then I can move on." But of course neither one can move on and his penis continues to throb while he is sensitive to the scaring on her abdomen as a result of a horrific accident at some point in the past. She holds his hand while she gets her navel pierced to calm him down because he can't stand the thought of another man with his hands on her. While waiting for him to come back to his house (he must deal with an urgent situation involving the tattoo parlor) she takes a bath in his tastefully appointed bathroom with the matching towels and fluffy rug and then feels the need to finger fuck herself to climax while she waits. Really?
Maybe if the story itself wasn't so demeaning towards women as in she must learn to obey him, or if the author didn't feel compelled to note every drop of pre cum the biker leaks out of his massive tool, or if, I don't know, there was actually some creative description instead of the same old tired and worn out phrases this book might have held my interest, but the story was so thin between the graphic sex scenes I gave up.

OK story

Incandescent is an ok story, the narrators did a great job telling the story, always makes a story enjoyable if the reader's are great readers. Incandescent is a tame MC story, great sex scenes, bossy alpha bloke with a head strong woman. The story line was a bit predicable, like I said an OK story cheers
