Publisher's Summary

Being Principe of an ancient vampire dynasty comes with difficult choices. For Byron Debrek, that means putting the good of her clan and innocent mortals over her own desires. When she falls for the first woman to set her blood on fire in centuries, Byron must harden her heart and walk away.

For Amelia Honey, a suit designer at a Savile Row tailor, the six months spent with her first love were the most wonderful time of her life. Byron made her feel like a princess and awakened her darkest sexual desires. But then she disappeared, leaving her nothing but a first-class plane ticket and a broken heart.

When a dangerous enemy befriends Amelia, Byron is compelled to act. Will she be able to regain Amelia’s trust and protect her? Or will pain and anger drive Amelia into the hands of Byron’s enemies, and into the middle of a vampire war?

A main character made it hard

I've really liked all of this author's work, until this one. Overall, the story was good; I just had a hard time liking one of the main characters and it made the book a little trying to finish. My struggle was not so much with the writing or performance, I just couldn't stand Amelia and couldn't figure out why she was supposed to be so special. I found her to be shallow, self-righteous, jealous and prone to making decisions that were selfish and just plain obnoxious. Example - why would you stop running when vampires are chasing you and say you're not going anywhere until you're told what's going on? Even if you didn't know their true nature, they're trying to harm you and your companion. Seems those type of questions could wait until you're both safe. Other than having to suffer Amelia, I enjoyed the story and would like to know more about the other couplings that appeared to be developing.

I love Jenny, but couldn't go beyond chapter 6

Just as the title says, both the story and the narrator failed to make me care or be interested in the characters and the plot.

The first

This is my very first audio book and I am pleasantly surprised. The narrator read this book perfectly and brought life to the characters in a very exciting way. The story itself was well written and engrossing and I spent hours listening to the characters..I was unable to put it down.....simply wow!

Dapper Vampire!

A nice different take on vampire tales. Yes, it a little bit slow in the begin of the book, but it makes up on the second half. Its a slow burn romance between rich dapper vampire and a young seamstress. Two different worlds come clashing together with blood. I have a feeling Frame will have a sequel. But there is no cliff hanger so it could be just this book.

Wow. Just wow.

I’ve never been a vampire fan but this book changed my mind. The performance and the story are a romp into the dominant and submissive word but only via consent. A fun and addicting read.

Good romantic vampire story

I love Jenny Frame, 1st of all, writes great romance! This book was a bit unusual for her. I would have liked to hear more of how they met...a prelude if you will. I really like the narrator's voice. The story needed more of a build up and a conclusion. I suspect a sequel is to come.
