Great Story With Perfect Narration!
A great story of love and survival, beautifully narrated by Nicola Victoria Vincent. Cari Hunter's writing is both tender and exciting and Nicola Victoria Vincent brings to life both the harsh environment and the array of characters, all of whom are so well defined. She is lovely to listen to and the characters are a real treat. I am happy to see that both narrator and author are doing more books together as they make a great team and long may that continue! My only slight criticism is a technical one: There is not enough space at the end of chapters before the next chapter heading but obviously this must be down to whoever produced it. The last line of each chapter is meaningful and the impact of that is significantly diminished if it rushes into the next chapter. That aside, I highly recommend this book and cant wait to listen to more. Fantastic!

Intense, but Bearable... Series... Please?
I stutter stepped in the beginning. I don't handle violation well. This thriller, thankfully, spared me from that. Instead, this is an excellently written and narrated story of two strong women strengthened further by their individual pasts, intertwined present, and future filled with hope for brightness and light.

Excellent!
I love Cari Hunter books. I haven't listened to one that I didn't love. This one (and the next in the series) is different than her other books because it takes place in the US. It's an exciting book about two women that go way past what they thought they could handle to survive. Lots of action with a romance underneath. While I might reluctantly agree that Nicola Victoria Vincent isn't the best at American accents and occasionally says some words differently than Americans do, I still love her narration and won't say anything bad about her.

The focusing on the story and not on sex was good but when there was sex it was refreshingly not too detailed.
The narrator was good with the American accents but not with the British.

WOW! What a great listen. You will not stop once you start. Excellent story. Excellent narration. Some people will find the violence against women hard to take. But it is necessary to the plot and does not detract from the quality of the story.

Wonderful story, but the narration by Nicola Victoria Vincent was like running a marathon.
Cari Hunter is a wonderful author with tremendous Talley for creating great characters and plots. It’s a shame Nicola Victoria Vincent read the story creating run on sentences. The announcements of the start or a new chapter was connected to the last sentence from the previous chapter. The was no pause, breath, anything for listeners to transition into the new chapter. I enjoy fast moving books, but, I’m exhausted from this one. Again, the plot and characters were great; should I decide to pick it up again, I think it will be an e-book or paperback but not audible with this narrator.

On the run together in the wilderness
This author has come a long way in her craft since her earlier books, such as this one. The usually five star talented narrator was at a disadvantage in reading with an American accent rather than the usual variety of accents found around the United Kingdom. Still worth a few hours of listening. I hope the future works by this author will have the main characters exposed to less violence. The plot twists, suspense, action, and humor of her writing are all plenty gripping to carry the listener along on her well crafted stories.

A True Psychological love Story.
This is the first book in a two part series featuring Sarah and Alex. Sarah came to walk on desolation point to escape troubles in England and got far more than what she bargained for. Fighting for her life after being chased by a right-wing group and meeting up with Alex. could they survive?
The best part was where Alex and Sarah were going through the alphabet.
I you do like Nicola Victoria Vincent's narration but for some strange reason she is talking in an American accent which are found in some parts confusing I will certainly listen to her again as she's got such clear addiction and I haven't have found any problems with her other books I've had in the past.
You. can listen to each book as a stand-alone but in my opinion I would listen to them in the. way they were intended, Desolation Point then Tumbledown.
Another great thing is if you have already got this book on Kindle you can get the audible copy at a reduced rate. You you can also read and listen to the book at the same time.
I will certainly be listened to this book again.

Yet another variation of this author’s main theme: two women, one a policewoman, fight for their lives out in the wilderness, being hunted by nasty villains, and in the process find to each other. Add to this a dash of medical slang and vivid descriptions of horrific injuries.

Faced paced and exciting
Desolation Point is the first book I have listened to of Cari Hunter's and I really enjoyed it. It had a sweet love story, however the action and adventure is what made it a page turner.
Both MC's, Sarah and Alex have complex back stories, which give them characteristics that help bond them together. There were quite a few different twists and turns throughout the book, but they fit perfectly and never seemed to drag it on too much.
The narration was not too bad, and I actually found I enjoyed the accent of the narrator and she did well putting on an English one. My only complaint would be that there was no pause between the last word spoken, and her starting on the next chapter. It just seemed a bit rushed.
I look forward to reading more of Hunter's work, and recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fast paced love story.

i actually didn't mind it once i become accustomed to the terrible American rip off acent of nicola victoria Vincent.whom i had the utmost pleasure of listening to her british accent in the other brillant cari hunter series Dark peak. which so far i think are the best.
still worth a listen. once the story picks up pace it was enjoyable.
