It is a way of living that focuses on reality instead of fantasy or idealism. According to its teachings, the path to peace and happiness is found in accepting the moment as it presents itself, by not allowing oneself to be ruled by the desire for pleasure or by the fear of pain.

Ambition can be a powerful force for good in our lives. But only if it is legitimate. Sometimes misinterpreted and often misunderstood, ambition - true ambition - is not a selfish quality. It is not another word for ruthless; it is not something to be shunned or subdued. Legitimate ambition is an honorable trait. At its very best, our ambition serves us and other people. In fact, pursuing your ambition is one of the most selfless things you can do.

The Jim Rohn Philosophy: Take Charge of Your Life "When talking about personal success, I like to ask four questions. Why? Why not? Why not you? Why not now?" Why not acquire the means to travel first class through life, to see the Mona Lisa firsthand, to swim the crystal waters of the Bahamas, to sample the food in Paris or Africa? Why not do it all? There's really nothing like a view from the top.

Story
Legendary personal development icon Jim Rohn explains the parallels between life and the changing seasons. To realize that the seasons will change without fail and what we can do to utilize each season to get the greatest rewards. This popular book is based on the parable of the sower and the reaper. What to do in one season to ensure success in another season. It's great for those who are going through difficult times personally or financially, because it helps them see that this "winter" in their life will eventually give way to "spring."

Not worth buying...
This was an extremely basic and inadequate book on body language. It only touched on a few gestures and had no depth of explanation. The performance was excellent, but that does not redeem the recording which had an extreme paucity of information. A better book to purchase is "What every BODY is saying" by Joe Navarro...

One wrong move can undercut your message. Believe it or not, our bodies speak louder than our words. Postures, gestures, and expressions convey reams of information - and often not what you'd expect. A smile, for example, is usually considered welcoming. But crook one corner of your mouth higher, and you project superiority, subconsciously chasing other people away. Without Saying a Word explains how even the subtlest motions have meaning.

Story
Since ancient times, we have used our body language to communicate, conveying our emotions and thoughts to those around us. Each person out there has a different body language, encompassing not only facial expressions but also body postures and gestures. Even eye movement is considered as part of the non-verbal communication, being closely followed by touch and using one’s personal space. There is really no way around it: The most successful, influential individuals are masters not only of the spoken word but of body language.

Story
One wrong move can undercut your message. Believe it or not, our bodies speak louder than our words. Postures, gestures, and expressions convey reams of information - and often not what you'd expect. A smile, for example, is usually considered welcoming. But crook one corner of your mouth higher, and you project superiority, subconsciously chasing other people away. Without Saying a Word explains how even the subtlest motions have meaning.
