But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. Story
One September morning, Doug accidentally runs right into another surfer on the beach. There are rules about these things. The other guy should call Doug a jerk, Doug should say, "my bad", and they should both paddle back out and move on. Problem is, the other surfer doesn't want to move on. He wants to fight. And for once in his life, Doug wants to fight back.

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Love this bundle!
I love a good book bundle and this one was perfect! I listened to the first in the series previously and loved it. I love that this series has a bundle option so I can listen to them all. I love the Rachel Carr brings Hope's character to life!

This is marketed towards a younger audience so it might be wrong for me to review as it’s not intended for me.
As I can potentially see it appealing to my kids. But it’s definitely to simple and straight forward for me

Geared towards the younger aged readers
Although this book was good and a fast listen it was ok but not something i would want to listen to again. It is geared towards young adults.
i received this free of charge for an honest review from the author or narrator

Hope Hadley five book bundle
This was a set of five good stories featuring Hope Hadley,an out of work actress from a PI series. Her family is full of police ,so she feels she knows as much,or more than the ones she has to deal with regularly. It is geared towards a younger crowd I believe, but still not bad to listen to. Rachel Carr was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Good for an airport or long trip
While this is not great literature it is good entertainment for a long trip or sitting at a Airport.
The main character is not someone you can have great love for but the story can hold your
attention and not make you strain your brain.

five book collection
five book collection.
It strikes me that there doesn't seem to be a explanation for the stars that are given. So I thought I'd start giving my take on it.
1 horrible no redeeming qualities.
2 there are redeeming qualities.
3 good worth reading, or well written but not my cup of tea.
4 great but there's something off.
5 loved it.
To be fair I'll review each story in this collection.
Fame is a Killer- A great beginning for a series it gets a 4.
Fishing for a Murderer- this was fun it gets a 3 1/2.
Murder of a Yoga Instructor- this one was interesting it gets a 3.
Drowning in Deceit- this one was a lot of fun 4.
A Not So Merry Christmas Murder- this was ok 3.
Overall this is a fun series. But I ask myself if I'll listen to it again, and I have to say no.
Reasons I enjoyed this audio book:
Witty, Wonderful characters, clean, Page-turner, Great world building, Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Action-packed, Funny, Whimsical.
Bookshelves/tags:
clean, collection, contemporary, humorous, kidnap, mystery, recorded, series.

A wonderful collaboration between author&narrator
Fame is a Killer (Hope Hadley #1), my seventh short read/listen from author Meredith Potts. I own both the Kindle & Audible versions of this book so I was able to follow along while being read to. A cute, well-written clean cozy mystery & an enjoyable read.
Fishing for Murder (Hope Hadley #2), my eighth short read/listen from author Meredith Potts. Another cute, well-written clean cozy mystery and an enjoyable read.
Murder of a Yoga Instructor (Hope Hadley #3), my ninth short read/listen from author Meredith Potts. Another cute, well-written clean cozy mystery and an enjoyable read.
Drowning in Deceit (Hope Hadley #4), my tenth short read/listen from author Meredith Potts. Another cute, well-written clean cozy mystery and an enjoyable read.
A Not So Merry Christmas (Hope Hadley #5), my eleventh short read/listen from author Meredith Potts. Another cute, well-written clean cozy mystery and an enjoyable read. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Great Collection!
Hope Hadley is a unique character that Meredith Potts has developed. I really enjoyed the collection of stories, and found them to be original. Rachel Carr did a great performance with these stories. I found the premise that Hope was able to participate in the investigations a little far fetched, but still so enjoyable. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.
