Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Kate White comes a gripping novel about one woman's dangerous quest to recover lost memories someone would rather she never find. The key to her missing memories could bring relief - or unlock her worst nightmares.

On a cold, rainy morning, finance journalist Ally Linden arrives soaked to the bone at her Manhattan office, only to find that she's forgotten her keycard. When her boss shows, he's shocked to see her - because, he explains, she hasn't worked there in five years.

Ally knows her name, but is having trouble coming up with much beyond that, though after a trip to the psychiatric ER, she begins to piece together important facts: She lives on the Upper West Side; she's now a freelance journalist; she's married to a terrific man named Hugh. More memories materialize and yet she still can't recall anything about the previous two days. Diagnosed as having experienced a dissociative state, she starts to wonder if it may have been triggered by something she saw. Could she have witnessed an accident - or worse - had something happened to her?

Desperate for answers, Ally tries to track where she spent the missing days, but every detail she unearths points to an explanation that's increasingly ominous, and it's clear someone wants to prevent her from learning where those 48 hours went. In order to uncover the truth, Ally must dig deep into the secrets of her past - and outsmart the person who seems determined to silence her.

Desperate to unearth answers, Ally focuses on figuring out where she spent the missing 48 hours. As ominous details of the two days pile up, so does the terrifying pressure: She must recover the time she lost before the time she has left runs out.

Featuring Kate White's signature twists and turns, Have You Seen Me? is a harrowing tale that will keep listeners guessing until its shocking ending.

Shocking ending! So good

Such a good book. It kept me engaged and guessing until the very end!! My mouth literally dropped open when everything was revealed- so unexpected!!! The narrator is impressive and does great differentiating between characters. It’s definitely worth the credit!

Great plot twists

I wouldn’t say this is my favourite book, but it was definitely thrilling enough to keep me engaged. A multitude of plot twists throughout the entire novel and descriptive enough that I felt like I was in it too.

Heroine

The story was OK, but this is the second book. I’ve read where the lead female heroine does things that are so stupid and just ignorant nobody I know would behave like that and you just lose faith when the person keeps making one bad decision after another. it’s like every scene is, walking down the dark hallway to the door with the light shining under it you know not to open it but they keep doing it anyway that’s my synopsis of this book

Hoping for more

Story had a lot of potential but fell short. Areas were you thought you would get an inclination to go on would on fizzle out and die.
Narrative was good

Excellent story!

Kate White was a new author to me, but I'll definitely get more of her books. Her characters were believable and the writing was first rate. The plot was engaging and not predictable at all, which I appreciated. I had a hard time putting this down, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thrillers.

Story is pretty good

The story is OK, I would even go as far as to say pretty decent, it kept me wanting to find out what was happening to this woman throughout the whole book. Getting to the end was a struggle because of the narrator. EVERYTHING she reads is "breathy", loud exhales and/or inhales after nearly every sentence, sometimes even in the middle of sentences - it really takes away from the story. Multiple characters were portrayed with voices I would've associated with the opposite gender and then were switched halfway through the story (I assume to make them a little better discernable/believable). The reason for the woman's psychosis seemed a little too simple/minor, making the story a bit hard to believe. Still worth a read - I can't recommend a listen though with this narrator.
