great book as always

this is my favorite author on audible and my very favorite narrator. the story is good maybe not her best but I definitely did not see the twist coming!!!

Disjointed

The story started out interesting, even with the word-for-word repetition of segments with added observations from the 2 main characters’ points of view. Adding the journalist, Laura/Lauren?, did not end up augmenting the story. Of the 2 twists at the end, only 1 was supported by what came before. The investigators were interesting but in the end, superfluous.

Riveting!

I couldn’t wait to hear what would come next. This is my second book by this author and I’ve found both engrossing stories with unexpected endings.

Engaging and Kept Me Guessing

Believable characters and slow reveals added to a revolving timeline all support a riveting tale.

Great book. A voice change would be nice.

The story was great, however, the audio would benefit from two (or more) narrators ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Interesting

Definitely took a turn I wasn’t expecting at the end. Quite a sad book really, but it’s always interesting to hear books about the quarantine and what happened (or could have).

Pandemic flashbacks alongside twists you don’t see coming

I have loved every Katherine Ryan Howard story put in front of me. Her details are believable, the suspense is perfectly executed and her characters become real life people you could actually know. I am dreading my alarm clock tomorrow because I just had to find out how this one resolved itself. Alana Kerr Collins voice and accent offer a depth that makes me homesick for Ireland, and reminds me why I can’t wait to go back.

A great mystery novel

At first, I wasn’t sure about this book because of the story happening during the pandemic. I’m glad I changed my mind. Great story with a twist. I couldn’t stop listening to it. Well written.

Covid 19 Lockdown

The story was decent and had a nice twist I didn’t see coming, so I liked that. Interesting to be taken back to the days of lockdown. It made me think a lot.

The only reason for the scores of 4 stars (instead of 5) on overall is for the back and forth of the timeline. It made it a bit hard to follow. I usually prefer when there is limited back and forth on timelines, however a lot of authors seem to favor jumping around.

Great Story! Loved it.
