Story
Nate Pearson is ridiculously handsome and wears the hell out of a suit and tie, but I’ve seen the parade of beautiful women leaving his apartment across the hall - a different one every time - and I want no part of it. When it comes to romance, I’m looking for something real, something that will last: the happily ever after. As a divorce attorney, he loves to tell me there’s no such thing. As a wedding planner, I choose to disagree.

Story
I almost didn't believe it was him. In high school, Sebastian Pryce had been an aloof outsider who kept to himself. But now, 10 years later, he's back and unusually attractive. With muscles in all the right places and hands that know exactly what they're doing, Sebastian is everything I didn't know I needed. And while he isn't exactly friendly, he has a magnetism that draws me in.

In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa. Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth. Even if the mic-drop moment that resulted was worth the looks on my former friends’ faces. For the sake of my children and my pride, I pack up and head for my childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start. Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.

Story
Just friends. That’s all Beckett Weaver and I have ever been. Sure, he’s a hot cowboy who left Wall Street behind to take over his family’s ranch. Yes, I’ve had a secret crush on him since we were 17. And who wouldn’t appreciate those strong hands, that massive chest, and the way he fills out a pair of Levis? He makes a girl sweat just looking at him...and I look. A lot. But I’m a single mom trying to move on with my life, and he’s running that ranch single-handedly while taking care of his elderly father.

Ian Chase broke my heart at 17, and I’ve spent the last 18 years hating him for it. He makes it easy, with his smart mouth and playboy lifestyle - which I unfortunately have to observe since he lives behind me. Every time I see him climbing out of his pool, practically naked and unreasonably sexy, my blood boils. I’ve always loved to loathe him. I never planned to need him.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

In the morning, she was gone and had taken my solace with her. I left for the military that day, vowing never to return to Pennsylvania. When my father dies, I’m forced to go home to bury him. At least I'll finally be rid of his farm, which is grown over and tangled with memories I've fought to forget. And that’s when I find her. She’s even more beautiful than I remember and has the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen. Years have passed, but my feelings are the same, and this time I refuse to let her go. They say you can't bury the past, and they're right.

I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

My heart opens to Cooper Haywood the moment we meet. How can it resist? He's charming, devastatingly handsome, and sweeps me off my feet before I realize the impact he's making. And then it's too late. We fall too fast to worry about the consequences. We love so hard that we ache when we're apart. Even though I have a past that still haunts me and he has a future that could put us at risk, none of that matters when we're together. Until it does. And then everything changes.

Publisher's Summary
It was like seeing a ghost.
When my late husband’s twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life we’d planned together, and after 18 long months struggling just to get out of bed, I’m finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I don’t want to go backward.
But I’m drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and guilt like no one else - and I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.
He says he doesn't care what people think, and love can never be wrong. But life has taught me its cruelest lesson - love doesn't always win.
If only my heart would believe it.

A MOVING STORY OF LOSS, LOVE & SECOND CHANCES
Your heart will break.. your soul will bleed..and your spirits will soar.
This was a deep and heartfelt story of when and how to move on after a shared loss.. but it’s also a story of second chances, hope and new beginnings. Because shy self-conscious Wes had met Hannah, the love of his life, first, had started a friendship with her and had been plucking up the courage to ask her out.. but it was his cocky confident identical twin brother Drew who’d swooped in and claimed her, married her and too soon left her a grieving widow. Now, after years of drowning his feelings working for Doctors Without Borders, Wes returns home.. he offers friendship to Hannah, to lend her emotional support and to be an uncle to his six year old niece Abby. Yes, Wes yearns for more but he’s realistic it’ll never happen. However, after three long years grieving, his return stirs mixed feelings for Hannah.. yes, Wes’ presence reminds her of her late husband and all she’s lost.. but, he also stirs up new feelings too. Their chemistry is intense and it can’t be ignored.. but dare Hannah risk her heart again, is it taboo to fall in love with your dead husband’s twin and will her mother-in-law who already dislikes her interfere? And will Wes finally fight for the woman who has always had his heart?
This isn’t a ‘feel-good’ story.. and yet you feel good at the end of Wes and Hannah’s emotionally fraught anxiety-filled journey that ends with a very sweet romantic HEA. There’s a lot of inner emotional conflict as Hannah’s head and heart wage war on her already damaged psyche and it takes time, wise words.. and more before Hannah, Wes and Abby can finally forge a forever family. The storyline, chemistry, sex, angst and romance was all perfectly paced.. there’s a time to grieve alongside the characters for what they’d each lost, a time to tentatively hope for new beginnings, a time to swoon and a time worry.. but, in the end, there’s a time to rejoice that love overcame all.
Worth a credit? This is a very different type of love story than I’m personally used to.. it’s moody, raw and real.. but there’s light.. and love.. and laughter at the end of this dual POV well narrated addictive love story that had me staying awake til silly o’clock in the morning. And yes, it’s creditworthy if you too are looking for a multi-layered forbidden love story filled with feels.

Conflicted
Not a big fan of dead spouse tropes but there are some good ones out there. This one though I usually like most of Melanie's work, I had a hard time resonating with. It was emotional and I did get sucked up in it, definitely didn't care for the MIL but the twin thing 2nd chance was hard to swallow. Would have liked to see Wes be a bit more forceful, the cheating of the dead spouse might have made it more acceptable had their been more angst by Hannah, but that is just my opinion.

Love Wins!!!
I absolutely adored everything about this story. From this Moment was deep, heartfelt, emotionally taxing, thoughtful, sweet and sexy. I loved Wes from the the very beginning of the book. His placement in Hannah and Abby's lives seemed natural and meant to be. Hannah's character was easy to relate to and the roller coaster of emotions she experienced truly made me feel for her and her situation.
I loved the premise of the story and while this is a unique and complex situation to be in, the love story that arose from devastation and loss was truly beautiful. Melanie Harlow has a true gift with story telling. Her characters are real and her stories are meaningful. She will always be a go to author for me!!!
Joe Arden and Virginia Rose were fantastic with the narration of this story. They were both highly enjoyable to listen to and brought forth all the emotions of this story.

I waited too long to listen to this story, don’t make that mistake!
I didn’t read this book initially when I read the After We Fall Series. It wasn’t immediately clear what the connection to the series was, and the topic covered in the book made me very hesitant. A woman having feelings for her dead husband’s identical twin. Combine that with some reviews I now adamently disagree with, and I waited almost a year to finally finish the series. Only doing it as I have only a few reads to finish all of Melanie Harlow’s books. I SHOULD HAVE READ THIS SOONER!
The topic is tough, and the loss is addressed early. This makes this book a little heavier than some of her others. A lot of reviews said the heroine Hannah was whiny. I thought it was a fantastic portrayal of a grieving widow, a woman feeling lost in her life. I would have been disappointed if she wasn’t so torn, conflicted, and confused. She was real, and I loved her character. Wes’s love, wow. The second chance, the dedication, the growth of his character. It was everything. I think Wes needs a little more love as a swoony Harlow Hero, because I loved him.
The connection to the series is through Valentini Farms, and Hannah working there. You get to revisit Georgia, Pete, Margot and Jack from After We Fall, and I LOVED the connection. I really enjoyed this novel. If you like Melanie’s books, trust she will take care of you with this story.
I opted to both read and listen to this story. I knew being hesitant on the story, Joe Arden and Virginia Rose would make the story no matter what. I would read when able, but would always go back and relisten to the parts I read because I didn’t want to miss the narration. Virginia was a perfect Hannah. You could feel the struggle, the hesitation, the love, the confusion in her voice. I love Joe’s ability to become a character. In his voice I could feel trust that things would be ok. He has such a great emotional range, from his love, to remembering his brother, to his fights with his mom. He is so talented. His kid voice as Abby is perfect. This story was even more beautiful because of this narration.

Boring, Juvenile, Undeveloped Storyline
I wonder whether this novel was written in a weekend...it was flat with static characters. It was difficult to respect or attach to any of the characters as they lacked...well, they simply lacked. It was too annoying to listen to. But the premise seemed intriguing. I wish authors recognized that as readers, we become invested in this material...and they should too. It's not about word count for us, nor is it about cranking out X number of manuscripts a year. Slow down and give us some quality, original material.
