Prepare to have your soul DESTROYED!

I have never had a book leave me feeling the way this one did. The story, the darkness, the twist and turns, are NOTHING compared to the ending. Seriously, this struck me right in the center of my chest. I don't think I'll ever forget this book.

Spoiler free ish review. This book has some trigger warnings and I do highly advise everyone to look at them before reading this book! If you can I do highly suggest doing this read with the audiobook!!! It is heavy, it is not a HEA book, and it is very emotional. But I give this book and the audiobook 5 stars because the story was beautiful!!

Admittedly, I thought that this book was too slow in the beginning, so I just knew it would be on my return & DNF list. However, I kept listening, because everyone couldn't be wrong about the high ratings of this book. I'm so glad that I kept listening. This book was pretty predictable for me, except for the ending....flipped my lid 😯😵‍💫. Even with me guessing some of the plot, it was still highly exciting and suspenseful. This story was written with meticulous detail. So, when I reached the ending, I could better appreciate the beginning. Definitely a lot of triggers in this book. WOW..just, wow. Lots of steam, especially with Joe Arden's emotional sounds 😍. Narration was stellar, it was a performance...no, a production. I love Joe in duet narration, he always delivers. So, did Lee Daniels, her performance was phenomenal. Writing was seamless to me. Well done Ariel.

I’m crying

Forever stars because this story got me questioning so much about who was who, and what was gonna happen next. (Bonus because Joe Arden’s beautiful voice)
The ending crushed me so much and cried so bad at work. May the authors father rest in peace.

Ariel is a menace for this

This was the most beautifully unhinged audiobook. I have ever listened to theperformances are top tier. Ariel Anderson has written the best book that I have read this entire year the amount of emotions that I went through reading this book wow. I can safely say there is absolutely nothing like this anywhere and this book was so excellent and the story was so excellent. I cannot say enough positive words about this story.

Exceptional Story & Narration🎧 Mind Blowing!

Wow, just wow, this story blew me away so much so it left me speechless and believe me it takes a lot to leave me speechless and that is exactly what this book is, a lot and so much to take in and digest. Ariel N. Anderson is a new to me author and consider me impressed, with both her writing style and creative mind. She created an original and multilayered story with complex characters, a romantic tragedy like no other. I highly recommend going into this book with an open mind and knowing as little as possible, so it is best to avoid spoilers and just enjoy the ride, a dark and twisted ride, so check trigger warnings in you have any. Elena Young left Texas to attend law school in Meridian City, NJ, and despite her family’s wealth, she was determined to make it on her own and got a job in the legal department of Reeves Enterprises. She does not live in the best of neighborhoods and she finds herself in a jam after three guys follow and jump her into an alley. There is a masked man, a vigilante, who roams the streets to rid of scum of the earth and he comes to Elena’s rescue and saves her. That is not the last he sees of him though, because she becomes his obsession and she is not sure how she feels about that since there is something about him that draws her to him. They call him the Silencer, and he calls her his angel. Then she has some workplace drama, but Christian Reeves, the CEO, steps in to set things right, and he takes an interest in Elena, too. Christian intrigued me and I thought he and Elena were great together and for each other and enjoyed watching them get to know each other and learning more about them both. Anderson weaves a complex web with these characters, their past and their future, and she keeps you on your toes and takes you to the edge of your seat. Just when you think you have something figured out, it turns out to be something or someone else. The story is captivating from start to end, and once I started it, I did not want to stop because I needed to know what happened next. This romantic tragedy has non-stop drama, twists and turns you never see coming, some gut-wrenching moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The world building and character growth and development are phenomenal, too. Ariel N. Anderson, thank you for this amazing story and wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Lee Daniels and Joe Arden’s exceptional performance knocks this book out of the stratosphere! Their character voices are fitting and I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined they would sound. Daniels nailed it as Elena, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her insecurities to her strength and determination. Arden was just as amazing in his roles, and did the same for his characters, showcasing his character’s traits perfectly. and wow, there is nothing like his chiller/thriller villainous side. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevated this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another outstanding listen!

Under Your Scars is Ariel Anderson's debut novel, and boy does she deliver. I didn't just listen to this book; I devoured it. A heartbreaking, spicy, dark billionaire romance. With stalking and a serial killer. This is more than just a dark romance, though. A well-written story that delves heavily into the darkness of mental health and the complexities of love. There are many heavy themes, so I implore you to take the trigger warnings seriously.

Under Your Scars is narrated in duet by Lee Daniels and Joe Arden. Lee wows with her ability to portray complex emotions throughout this masterpiece of a book. I can’t praise her performance enough. This is arguably Joe’s best performance to date. He showcases his talent for portraying raw emotion. He does unhinged superbly, and I was frequently left in awe. Credit where it is due. Outstanding audiobook.

This is the greatest book I have ever listened to. The story was so mesmerizing, I couldn’t stop. The ending was way more than my delicate brain could have thought of. Joe and Lee became these characters and were perfect. I was yelling out loud and tears filled my eyes. Thank you
