Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best seller Corinne Michaels and USA Today best seller Melanie Harlow comes a second chance stand-alone romance novel.

Ian Chase broke my heart at 17, and I’ve spent the last 18 years hating him for it. He makes it easy, with his smart mouth and playboy lifestyle - which I unfortunately have to observe since he lives behind me. Every time I see him climbing out of his pool, practically naked and unreasonably sexy, my blood boils.

I’ve always loved to loathe him. I never planned to need him.

London Parish is my little sister’s best friend, not that it stopped me from falling for her. Our history is complicated. The only thing we have in common is being godparents to my sister’s three adorable kids - until our lives are changed in one tragic moment. Now we’re trying to raise the children we love, mourn an unthinkable loss, and fight an undeniable attraction.

My life is already upside down, and the last thing I need is for old feelings to resurface. Because I’ll never be able to keep her, no matter how hard I try to hold her close.

Second chance at happiness

I am a huge Melanie Harlow fan and when I heard she was teaming up with Corinne Michaels for this book, I was excited, but even more so when the narrators chosen were Andi Arndt and Tor Thom! This is a beautiful, heart wrenching, frustrating, passionate, happy second chance romance. Ian and London finally got together for London's senior prom, declaring their love for each other, only to have it torn to shreds the next day. After years of anger and animosity, the two are brought back together under the worst of circumstances. Ian's sister, London's best friend dies unexpectedly and her three children are now in the care of Ian. He desperately needs help, and who better qualified than London. The kids know her well, and it will help with the transition. Michaels and Harlow masterfully piece together this romance with these two, each having their own issues to work through. With grief, and the responsibility of 3 children, this couple takes all their anger and frustration on each other, with a combustible chemistry underlying every dig. I love the true to life relationship these two have. Ian is so much the macho, alpha, he will take care of everything, he knows what is best until he doesn't. London is vulnerable and insecure in herself when it comes to men, but with the children she is spot on. Their push-pull relationship is so easily relatable, and their banter perfect. The combination is memorizing, keeping me focused for 7 hours of this book, wondering how things will progress and if it will work out. I do think there are a couple of breakout characters as well, the three children are amazing, but my favorite is Ian's sister Sabrina. She is a no hold barred woman, telling things as she sees them and is accurate with every sentence. I loved her! This author team melds their novel together seamlessly and I am hoping to see more from this combination.

Add to this incredible book, two incredible narrators. The team of Tor Thom and Andi Arndt brought magic to this story. A better Ian could not have been chose, Tor Thom gives Ian just enough confidence to make him that strong alpha, yet that hint of insecurity and vulnerability when it comes to the kids. I loved his inflections and ability to give off the emotions that Ian was feeling. Andi Arndt is always amazing, but I really loved her portrayal of London. She had London's animosity towards Ian down to pat, yet you could still feel the love she had for him. Together this team made me sad, happy, angry and full of love, a wonderfully satisfying listen.

"Old and Finding Love"

I found the line "Old and Finding Love" fitting from this book. I love second chance romance books. The writing combination of Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels is spectacular. They wove the most amazing story. This book has so many emotions in it from grief, regret, sorrow, longing, happiness, ecstasy, love, anger, hope, peace, humor and fulfillment. Ian, London, Sabrina are the main characters in this book, while Morgan, Christopher and Ruby play huge parts. Two very independent people are suddenly brought together as co-parents of 3 children after disaster strikes. Ian and London face the challenge of resurrecting their relationship, healing old wounds, and fighting chemistry and feelings. I loved Sabrina's wisdom in this book. Like in real life, Ian thought he knew what was best for London, instead of letting her make decisions for herself.
Andi Arndt and Tor Thom nailed their performance in this book. They added so much to the book with their raw emotions. I loved the chemistry they had. Both are equally great narrators, and together they are exceptional. I hope to listen to more books by this winning combination. This is such a great book! The epilogue was perfect.

Loved it

I realised i am going to love anything narrated by Tor Thom and Hold You Close by Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow was no exception. Tor did an incredible job portraying Ian and Andi Arndt nailed London.
This second chance novel will evoke a range of emotions from you and these two main characters will frustrate you at times. However Tor and Andi was able to deliver on portraying these two frustrating characters and made you love them in the end. I would definitely recommend this story.

Breathtaking Second Chance Romance!

I loved this breathtaking second chance romance! First it is an amazing collaboration between two of my favorite extremely gifted authors! I love both of their work and this is no exception. It starts out with London and Ian declaring their love at a young age. Then it goes terribly wrong, breaking both of their hearts. Fast forward eighteen years, and their hearts are breaking again, for a totally different reason. They now are co parenting 3 children and are at a loss on how to do that together. They have never stopped loving each other, but find it is easier to hate than to make themselves vulnerable again. Now their fighting is their foreplay, and as the argument heats up, so does their chemistry. I was frustrated by them at times but I grew to really care for both Ian and London. Ian is kind, protective and has a big heart, while London is strong, smart and fiercely loyal. Unfortunately they are both stubborn, but maturity allows them to not let it get out of hand, which I loved. I also loved the kids, they were adorable, funny, and insightful the way that young people often are. This story is the perfect blend of humor, heartbreak, charm, and steam. It had me laughing and crying and everything in between. I am a huge fan of the grand gesture and this had one that made me sigh and swoon so hard, it was totally perfect for them.
Andi Arndt, Tor Thom were perfect as London and Ian. They portrayed their love-hate relationship with that perfect balance that made their fiery chemistry palpable. Thom also portrayed the 'out of his element' Uncle so wonderfully showing Ian's missteps, and his sweet relationship with the kids as well. Arndt is always a joy to listen to. She has an easy way of making London real, making us understand her pain and the walls she needs to protect herself. Making us really care for the quandary that is the cool London with the softer, loving, London. I was totally lost in their storytelling as they brought this beautiful second chance romance to life!

Exceptional!

This one started out a little sad but it quickly turned into a laugh when Ian had to take his deceased sisters three kids to raise. London was his sisters best friend and she had a bad experience with Ian when they were young. London had loved Ian all her life. He was forced to asked for her help with the kids. Then things get interesting. Tor Thom did a fantastic job narrating Ian and Andi also did a super job narrating London’s part! I wish I could give this more stars!

Waste of a credit

This book was extremely boring, was over the characters fighting constantly, there really wasn't anything exciting about the book.
