Publisher's summary

Two children from Sierra Leone, Liberty and A’shai, are brought together by chance, only to be forced apart by the most inevitable and tragic fate. Ashley & JaQuavis bring us this classic love story set against modern life’s most horrifying realities.

Liberty is dying of a fatal heart condition, though she desperately wants to survive until her 25th birthday, when her sister has promised to visit her. A’shai blames himself for not protecting Liberty, but all Liberty asks is for A’shai to tell her a story, to help her remember what brought them to this point. He knows that this is the last story he will ever tell—and the last she will ever hear.

As Liberty lies dying, A’shai walks her through their past, reliving their ill-fated journeys through the streets. Their story will take them from an arranged marriage, through Mexico’s drug cartel, child brothels, and hustling in Detroit, to escaping the high-powered heads of LA’s underworld. But ultimately, this is a story of love and redemption that will leave you breathless from the unpredictable and mind-blowing ending.

WOW I loved this book

This book was the most amazing book i have heard and I fell asleep wanting to hear the book all over again. This is what I call a true love story indeed. The thing that brings all of us together for a reason is fate. The characters were so well developed. I wasn't expecting this book to be amongst my fave books. These authors did such an amazing job bringing the story to life and it was action packed. I am still amazed just thinking about the lives that we all live and how everyones stories and lives are so different and to think about people in third world contry the struggles that these kids that are just lost to the world go through... SIMPLY AMAZING

very exciting read!!!

What made the experience of listening to Murderville the most enjoyable?

like the fact that the authors started the characters journey from their youth to adult hood

Who was your favorite character and why?

Liberty, was my fav, she went thru hell from a child on into adulthood, but never stopped loving her savior

Which scene was your favorite?

when the young boy protected her from the rebels, and his father

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES IN DEED

Any additional comments?

I will listen to any and all of the books that Ashley/JaQuavis write, I'm really liking them. I do think I should have started with this book first, before I listened to Cartel 1,2 &3 seeing the Murda Mama's were hired toward the end of this book.

COMPELLING...GREAT LOVE STORY...JUST FABULOUS!!!!!

OMG!!! This book was absolutely gripping! I LOVED THIS STORY. I wasn't sure exactly what it was supposed to be, but I'm sure glad I got it. The narrator was ABSOLUTELY SUPERB! And I loved the subtle occasional sound effects. I don't normally like them because they become obnoxious and irritating but in this case, it was nice/enhancing. The story was just wonderful. All of the conflicts and twists and turns...and the love story in the midst of it all was just so sweet and at times, sad. I can't say too much so's not to give away too much info. It's definitely worth a chip or cash price! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I'm definitely ready for Book II. Just be prepared for the true to life beginnings of this book. I hope this helps you all. Happy Listening!

Great Story Line - I recommend!

The story pulls from the Cartel triology. I am still interested. Anxiously awaiting the next book. Many twist and turns and action.

It will NOT disappoint.

Good job authors.

Too explicit for my taste.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was interesting, but there were some scenes that was too explicit. Its difficult for me to hear about child rape, child prostitution and child slavery.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Shocking and disappointing.

Which scene was your favorite?

The main character saving Liberty multiple times.

Do you think Murderville needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has a follow-up, but I won't listen.
