Publisher's Summary

Sex, love, drugs, and music are just a few of the Carter boys’ daily dealings. Drama follows them everywhere, especially being the largest, most dangerous organization the city of Atlanta has ever seen. The women who want to be with them and the men who want to be just like them can easily get lost in the shuffle when the target is constantly moving to a new Carter’s back.

So, what happens when a slick-mouth girl from Brooklyn decides to go off to college in the unofficial capital of the South? She is quickly introduced to the Atlanta lifestyle, where “Bruh” is part of every other sentence; dreaded ‘fros are a must; hot lemon pepper wings are law; west side accents are always thicker; nobody says ATL unless they’re from out of town; HBCU life is unlike any other; and most importantly, it’s all about family. In particular, it’s all about the Carter family. Without the Carters, there is no Atlanta.

Can wr ger the accents together please

The story was good couldve been better and the fact that book 3 came out on audio before book 2 is crazy. This narrator had her accents all wrong. Its shawty in the south and shorty in the north. Ive read the book series the author has talent but all that bashing the south is uncalled for. The north is no better than the south. Everyone in the same struggle. Continue to grow Desiree and much success.

So exciting!

Whew Chile! Them Carter Boys! This book was not only funny but sexy, exciting and suspenseful. The narration had me lost a bit in the beginning, but I quickly caught up. Some times I want to smack Jade, but all in all, I love these characters. I have already downloaded part 2.

ok but

the narrator was stumbling the entire time. she kept moving the punctuation. you can tell where the words ended on one line and went to the next by how she was reading.

Need a more distinctive voices. Need voice to match where they are from, it would be much better.

I love my Carter boys

I really wish the readers would pre-read prior to Reading. I love the story and I love Misty Reign readings. I just couldn’t get the characters like all the others. Love all Deairée’s writings, huge fan.

Just ok, but I like to finish what I start.

Narrator was annoying. Great voice, but her emphasis on words was out of place most of the book, and she ended almost every sentence like it was the end of the book (like in a down beat). I don’t know if that makes sense, but otherwise it was a ok read. My husband recommended it, and says this book set the tone for the remainder of the series, so we’ll see.
