Story was excellent

Like all milly taiden books I love this was no exception but would have chosen one of her previous narrators this one not well with no feeling and the scenes for female main character sounds child like overall story was excellent but not the narration I will continue to enjoy this author books but with narrator I will not listen to again

Meh Narrator

The narrator was just meh. She read like she was bored. And on all the parts that involved singing she just read them. Not even an effort. It didn’t totally kill the story, but had me wishing for a better read through at many points in the book.

Cringey

I really dislike a writer who tries to make their character seem random and quirky. And this writer does it in the most unrealistic ways like a character who just forgets where they are and decides to sing let it go from Frozen? Yeah there is zero way anyone does that on accident and it made me cringe so hard because it's not charming or quirky like I imagined the writer wanted it to be. The rest of the book isn't much better also the characters do not ask the right questions and worry about the wrong things and it's very annoying.

Loved this book, it is an amazing addition to my MT collection ♡ I cant wait for book 2, already preordered 🙂

Fun Fae Story

I’ve really enjoyed the first book in this series. Although I have the ebook, I tend to listen more nowadays. This is a really easy listen which pulls you in straight away and gives you enough description of the fae world that you wish to revisit it. I’ve only given the narrator 4 stars as she does come across as narrating the narrative with no emotion, but I got used to her quite quickly as the emotions come through when the characters are talking. Her male and kids voices were brilliant. Roll on book 2!!
