Torn is a steamy standalone romance with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after ending.
Love hate, love hate. that is how I felt about Holland. The author did a great job keeping me torn between my feelings for him.
Piper on the other hand, I didn’t like to much the first two chapters. I really didn’t like the way she treated her brothers. but by the 3rd chapter she warmed up to me once I found why she was acting the way she was. and started getting nicer to her brothers.
I loved the build up between those two. it kind of reminded me of one step forward, two steps back.
Holland can totally go over the lines at times, and maybe can push things to far, but i think thats what makes there hot sex, hot.
I liked the story line in this book. its a great BDSM fantasy, with a lot of great play, and sex involved.
I thought the narrator did a great job! I would listen to her and read anther book from this author again.
I am really starting to love this author.

Would you recommend Torn: A Dark Bad Boy Romance to your friends? Why or why not?
I don't think I would as it's pretty long and I feel that it probably could have been cut down some. There were many times I felt like it was dragging out and I just wanted to know what was going to happen. I love dark romance stories and I don't know if I was waiting for sometime darker to happen or what but I felt something was missing for the length of the story. I did however like that there was more BDSM in this book compared to other books I have read by the same author that were called BDSM.
Did Torn: A Dark Bad Boy Romance inspire you to do anything?
Not particularly. This audiobook wasn't one that I didn't like but it also wasn't one that I was that into. It was enjoyable but wasn't one of my favorites. There were times I felt it dragged on but other times it was okay. Times I felt like I knew what was coming and it was predictable. Other times I was waiting to see what was going to happen.
Any additional comments?

Torn by Sky Corgan was a great book. Many things havent been going Piper's way as of late. Piper enjoys diving into her dark desires at Club Fet. Little did she know her private life and Club Fet life would cross paths. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. You will not be disappointed with this audiobook. You want to hate Holden but the author was really able to dig deep and allow you to see all the pain that he had endured. Definitely a little angst at times, but this book will make you laugh and swear. Great read.
I’m a fan of Sky Corgan’s writing, slightly twisted and romantic while still able to maintain a certain level of suspense, and she definitely delivered with this book. The surprise for me with this book was Audrey Lexington. She has great voices and her reading tempo was exactly how I like it.
The story sucked me in with the undercover bdsm, then the sweet but sick woman, oh and the brothers...that took a turn I wasn’t expecting! If you like a story that mixes sexy, sweet, realistic, and a bit out there at times then this is it!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review, however after listening...I would have paid for it.
Torn is the perfect title. I'm torn about how I feel about this book. Is it good? Yes. Is it entertaining? Yes. Is it an interesting story? Yes. Does it have great characters? Not sure. If the measure of a great character how much you like or hate them, then yes. It took me a bit to really be pulled in but once I was I couldn't stop listening. I wanted to know how it was all going to play out.
You definitley want to keep your earbuds in for this one.
If your looking for a sweet bad boy falls for good girl love at first sight romance this is not the book for you. This is an emotional rollercoaster of a book with plenty of drama, heartbreak and angst. Holden was such a jerk. I was angry, frustrated, appalled and hated Holden at times. By the end of the story Holden is likable but not loveable. Definitley not your typical bad boy alpha. More like an alphahole. Piper was likable but was immature and depressing especially in the beginning. She's down on herself, her brothers, her life, just everything. Her only happy time is at the BDSM club. They do have great chemistry and their encounters will leave some steam coming off your earbuds. After a couple of chapters Piper turns herself around for the most part and quickly becomes likable. Ann was great character and immediately likable.
Audrey Lexington does a really good job with the narration. She has a pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Some good character voices. Her male character voices are good but the voice for grandma sounded just like Sir Jeremy which threw me out of the story. She was able to bring the characters, their emotions and the story to life. This would have been great with dual narration. Overall very enjoyable.
The volume fluctuates at times aside from the "thinking" to yourself parts.

This one has all the feels, I laughed and I cried. The narrator was excellent as well. Overall a great listen that I highly recommend. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
I found this book rather frustrating. It was very long and drawn out. At the beginning of the book, both Piper and Holden are attracted to each other. Then this is followed by probably 10 1/2 hours of fighting and hating each other until in the last bit they resolve their differences! There was really no good reason shown for Holden’s hatred of Piper.
The background story included only the bare essentials. Piper’s relationship with her step brothers needed more development. Piper comes across as very cold and uncaring. We learn why she was so casual and negative toward her step brothers, but it is still difficult to accept her disinterest in trying to form a more positive relationship with them.
We are supposed to believe that Holden loves and cares for his mother (his only remaining family), but he cannot find the time to see her or join her for a meal?
The BDSM elements and BDSM club did not seem right to me. I am not a practitioner of BDSM, but I do like to read BDSM fiction. This one did not ring true to me. (Compare to any of Cherise Sinclair’s books!) The BDSM club seemed more like meeting up in a bar for casual sex. Yes, there was public sex and rooms for private sex, but where were the club monitors? I do feel that sometimes an author’s emphasis on “safe sex” can be cumbersome. But this book included a scene with repeated alternate anal and vaginal sex; that is definitely not safe sex!
Neither Piper or Holden were characters to whom I could relate; neither were likeable characters. Holden was supposed to be the bad boy who finds love with Piper and makes necessary changes. He merely came across as an immature, self-centered boy! Piper also came across as selfish and incompetent. Why was she unable to find a job in her accounting field?
I just did not find this book to be very erotic or romantic! It could have been so much better! The narration for the book was okay.
This book was given to me free at my request in exchange for an unbiased review.
I loved this book! I thought it would be another run of the mill romance but boy was I wrong! It's so well done I actually hated and I mean HATED our hero. I cheered repeatedly for the heroine every time she stood up and refused to mistreated. By the end of course the hero redeems himself but boy was it a long time coming! The secondary characters were also VERY well written and broke my heart a little bit. Narrator did a good job as well. Worth the money for this one, definitely.
This book took me a little time to get into. Love a good BDSM story, but in the beginning the characters were not likeable for me. Piper is shown as a selfish woman, not ready to parent her two stepbrothers after the death of their parents. Holden is a spoiled man, and when he does not get his way does unforgivable things. The two are attracted to each other, and finally found out they were connected through Holden's mom, Ann. Ann is the light of this book. Her goodness and wise advice really brings heart to this couple. As I got to know each of them better, I understood their reasons for who they are and why they act in the manners they do, making me like them better. The back story is so good, I had to keep listening so that I could find out if they would adjust and change over time. Sky Corgan writes stories with grit and hot sex, the perfect dark romance and leaving the reader with a little of every emotion with this one.
Audrey Lexington's narration is very good. I have never heard her before, but really enjoyed her portrayal of this serial.
