Dark, twisted, sensual, and deeply intimate.

LOVED this book, I DEFINITELY recommend this one for sure. I read some negative reviews and didn't understand how anyone could dislike this story, it really had it all.. I loved this couple so much. Nox was one of those male characters you don't come across every day, the kind that you can't wait to read about because there are authors like Ashley Jade out there that understand the dark side of humanity a little more and aren't afraid to present it in their books. I cannot tell you just how frustrating it it is to see the PG-13 version of the dark, deadly men we all love to hate before we love, and it becomes exhausting to read about a guy who is essentially the same person from bookok with a new nameaway from the ugly parts, the taboo, but this book does just the opposite by taking two very different but somehow similar people revel in the dark parts of their souls while still trying to claim the light as well. The writing was superb, and the narration was just as amazing. I absolutely love when I come across a book that doesn't follow the cookie-cutter possessive alpha male and this definitely does not fit that mold. I particularly loved the scene at the playground from when they were kids. It was both terribly sad but also somehow fulfilling to see their humble beginnings in the darkest part of Nox's life as he bullies the little girl that saw into his dark soul with just a look. I wish I could find more books like this one, truly. It had the perfect mixture of primal, dark eroticism that somehow blended so well with the deep intimacy these two shared even when they didn't want admit it to themselves.

On your toes, but oolala swoon

The overall story was great, but the interaction between the 5 main characters could've been more detailed. The stepdad was a bitter angry predator, but was not really given a real reason why. However, the 2 main characters story was awesome. Teddy Hamilton did an outstanding swoony job as ever, and Desiree Ketchum was outstanding. This was the first time for me listening to A. Jade's writings and Ms. Ketchum's narration. Will be looking forward to more.

5 Huge Stars! Love Knox & Aspen

Whenever I know there is a new Ashley Jade book coming, I try to prepare myself. I *KNOW* there are going to be lots of ups & downs, crazy plot twists and lots of hot & steamy kinkery. Ashley spent months warning fans that Knox was an a**hole. Boy was she right! But he's definitely the kind of a**hole you hate so much that you love him. The way he & Aspen drove each other to brink was intoxicating. I couldn't get enough. Please do yourself a favor - READ this book as soon as it's released. You will not regret it. Excellent Narration by Desiree Ketchum & Teddy Hamilton.
