Publisher's Summary

After a breathtaking turn of events, Shadow is looking at life in a different perspective. Not knowing who he can trust or who he can forgive has left him feeling desolate and alone. As Shadow is laying behind his rifle, he wonders if he can pull the trigger to eliminate the threat. He takes a deep breath and squeezes the trigger, the rifle recoil ignites the fuel that drives him. Retaliations will be required. Boundaries will be shattered. Redemption will be lost. Betrayal so deep, yet they still yearn for one another. Can Shadow overlook Dani's transgressions? Can Dani overlook the mistrust that Shadow has placed upon her?

    "Couldn't put this one down!"

I usually do not like stories that are not stand alone, but in this case the second book was so much better than the first. This two book series was gritty, emotional, violent and overall an very enjoyable listen! The MC is in the mix, however the focus of this story is on the two flawed main characters .... how the come to accept love, and embrace life despite the violent tendencies that are part of the life they have chosen. This was so credit worthy and I recommend it for any reader who enjoy gritty MC novels!

    "IT'S EDGY, A BIT DARK & IT'S ALL-CONSUMING"

I love a good MC book.... and this is definitely a worthy 5 star listen as it packs so much in. You get the gritty MC lifestyle, the threats, the twists, the suspense, the "oh shits", the brotherhood mentality and, on top of all this, you also get a romance that was anything but 'typical'. However, for the two broken main characters, it worked for them as they battled poisonous lies, overcame each other's mistrust, fought inner turmoil, triumphed over their haunted pasts, conquered jealousies, had lots of epic sex, healed from heartbreak, killed and was nearly killed, discovered an enemy within as well as gained evil new ones and, thankfully, survived it all. And, through so much diversity, their characters changed, they grew closer together and formed a loving bond made from blood, death, violence, passion, forgiveness and trust.

Together they have the perfect balance - Shadow now has light in his life thanks to Dani and Dani has found the home she never knew she wanted..... with Shadow and all the MC characters.

Worth a credit? Dual POV's, great narration, an action-packed story that was full of biker suspense and a love story that defied and survived everything that was thrown at it. A good balance of drama vs romance and a very creditworthy purchase.

    "Violence and mayhem!"

This second audiobook in the Devil's Dust series was enjoyable, while being very violent. The main characters were separated by the heroines mothers actions at the end of the first book and most of this book was them coming to trust each other again. There were a lot of killings, backstabbing betrayal and distrust in this book. I almost felt like the violence was overshadowing the love story. The narration was excellent, as always with these two narrators.

"The Perfect Blend of MC and Romance!! You'll be hooked on the Devils Dust!"

This story picks up where Book 1 (What Doesn't Destroy Us) left off and it's the perfect conclusion to Dani and Shadows story.
The angst and action are in full force. The Devils Dust motorcycle club is unraveling secrets and lines are getting crossed and what's right and wrong has begun to blur.
I loved every minute of this story and I especially loved the relationship that grew between Bobby and Dani and the trust he had in her.
All the characters in this book were great and the twists and turns will keep you hooked.
I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book, which I'm hoping I'll get to find out about Doc! She's got a story that needs to be told behind those scars. EEKK!! So excited!!

I also listened to this one on audio and again, Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were GREAT!!
They really do sound amazing together and truly made this already amazing story that much better!!
Highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a hot, sexy, awesome MC Romance!!
It's the perfect blend of everything that makes a great read!!

"A MUST READ After Book One"

While I didn't get as engrossed in this book as the first, it completed the main character's HEA. The twists continued and loose ends were tied up, but there were some hints of other things to come with the secondary characters in future books.

Overall, it was a good read.

    "Part Two of Two"

Shadow and Firefly's story continues after the cliffhanger of Book 1. Trust is hard to win, and they have a long road to travel to try and get it back and reach their HEA. Legal, personal and territorial problems continue to assault the club and our main couple, and they learn that they need to make every moment count or live with regrets. It was a journey I enjoyed being along for the ride. The only criticism I have is that I don't see the need for this story to have been broken into 2 parts. Nothing wrong with a 17-Hour listen. However, bonus points for the Whispersynch option that makes it less of a hit to the wallet and allows the listener to give a bit of understanding and forgiveness for the cliffhanger. Definitely creditworthy.

Once again, the narration team is top-notch, and they do a great job performing the many characters very well. I hope to see their names on future listens.
