Publisher's summary

It's him, Diary. It's Tyson. I don't know what it is about him; well, I guess I do know. It's everything about him. Everything he does makes me smile. It's him - he makes me want to talk.

Arrabella was used to being abused all her life at the hands of her own father. She never felt like she amounted to anything. But then there was Tyson. He had this effect on her, which was completely understandable with his beautiful light brown eyes and muscular physique.

What was utterly baffling was why he returned her interest. They were much too different: He was so handsome and part of the in crowd while her social circle consisted of only herself and her diary. Tyson was more than sure he wanted her. He knew she was the one meant for him - his mate. He had waited so patiently for his destiny, and now that he finally found her, he would do anything to make her wholly his. There was just a tiny glitch: She did not talk, and, not to mention, they were of completely different worlds.

Arrabella would soon be dragged way out of her comfort zone to the world of werewolves, packs, and mates. Will she be able to accept Tyson? Will Tyson help heal her? Will they brave the odds, or will it be too much for their love to surpass? Witness two worlds collide and succumb to a force far greater than fear. Dear Diary, I Have a Mate will entice you into a gripping journey of change, acceptance, and love. Give in to the pull.

Juvenile

I like the plot but definitely meant for children probably around 11-15 years old. Honestly could get myself to finish it.

nice (sweet)

story:
It could have ended about chaper 39 and sum the the last chapter for the end, but then goes on about her happy family life. The storyline is cute not to much of a climax. **spolier** Basically he saves her from her fathers abuse then teaches her how to talk again and they live happily ever after.

Narrator:
They sounded new or maybe this was there first script.

Team Werewolf

This book captured me very early on and it was very hard to put down . I loved how Arrabella was not talking out load for a great deal of the story . The story of what her father did with the peanut butter truly broke my heart .In the beginning I loved the sweet romance blossoming between the main characters but midway through I had a few issues . When this couple first said I love you it was so romantic and made my heart skip a beat . From that point on it felt like they each said ( I love you ) at least once in every single paragraph . It made me feel like there was no real meaning when they said it or that the author wanted to meet a certain word count afterwards and started pasting it everywhere possible . For the most part I enjoyed the plot and the narrator have a good performance .

Cute but repetitive

I received this book in exchange for a review. I honestly tried to like the story and for the most part I did. It was likable. But it was also very slow-paced. I struggled to finish it because halfway through I kind of lost interest. The narrator was also just okay. It was sort of like listening to your teenage relative read to you.

It Was Ok

The story was good. The narrator sounded as if she was inexperienced and maybe has an accent that popped in & out. The editing was terrible. There were so many narration mistakes that should've been edited out. There was also a weird noise at the beginning of a lot of the chapters. Otherwise, it was a good story.

So, so

2 1/2 stars. I suppose if you’re a twilight fan then you’ll enjoy this. I didn’t realize the characters were so young. I generally dodge them. They were out of high school by the end. The characters seemed a little immature, but that might be because I’m not used to reading such young characters. It did drag a little in the middle.

Needs editing

Love this book and was very excited to get it, but the lack of editing was distracting. The narrator repeats sentences that are incorrect a few times and there is this noise at the beginning of some but not all chapters. Otherwise I loved this!

Too long and possibly editing needed

This is a nice story but at times it seemed to drag on. I thought it might be appropriate for younger kids but then I remembered the main characters are about de entrenched when they meet and start sleeping (just sleeping together). Then things ramp up a couple years later. I enjoyed the story up to about those points. Then the repeated “I love you’d” just seemed kill the rest for me.

The character are nice and we see a lot of their life. They go through a few stressful times. I am a huge shifter fan but this book just seems to fall flat for me. It seems more of a life story.

The narrator read nicely but she did repeat passages a few times. Then at the beginning of some chapters there was this weird noise. Sounded like rushing water. Not sure what that was about.

Sweet YA Romance

This is a sweet YA shifter story suitable for Twilight fans. The author attempts to tackle some heavy topics like domestic abuse, and the characters are likable but two-dimensional. The audio performance is well-read but suffered from some editing errors (occasional repeated lines and static at the beginning of most chapters).

okay

There was so much pain and sadness in the first half of the book, but things get better and better bye the end of it. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay.
