Publisher's summary

Dante is Chapter Master of one of the noblest but most troubled Chapters of Space Marines in the Imperium: the Blood Angels. From the time of his birth in the rad-scarred wastes of Baal Secundus, he was destined for glory and strife.

From his apotheosis to Scout, to the hive cities of Armageddon and the alien menace of the Cryptus system, Dante has waged war against all the enemies of the Imperium. He has witnessed the divine, and struggled against the darkness within all sons of Sanguinius. Longer lived than any other Chapter Master, this is his chronicle, his great and storied legend.

Great book.

Good audio quality, great narration. Story gives a solid base on a Blood Angels lore and insight into the mind of the most renowned Astartes of the 40k - Lord Commander Dante.

Hear the travails of the lord of Hosts.

Excellent scene setter for later books in the series and insight into the man who fostered some of the greatest heroes of the imperium.

Dante

Dislike don’t like how it’s not in order but dantes up bringing in the blood angels and how yes they are divine soldiers created by the emperor of mankind. Now the way guy Haley goes about describing the black rage ,and is very fascinating great quick read
Also recommended to read dark imperium and dark imperium plague war.

A must listen for Blood Angels fans.

This book feels deeper into the Warhammer universe and the Blood Angels' Chapter Master. Very enjoyable.

Greate and beautiful but it left me wanting more .

I thoroughly enjoyed 'Warhammer 40K: Dante' by Guy Haley. The character of Dante is depicted with compelling depth, making me appreciate him even more. His journey, struggles, and triumphs were brought to life in this audiobook, adding layers to his character that were both fascinating and inspiring.

However, I felt that the audiobook experience could be enhanced. While the narration was good, it lacked the emotive power in certain key scenes that could have made the story more immersive. Adding background music and a range of voice emotions would elevate the listening experience, making it as impactful as the story itself.

Despite this, the book is a fantastic journey into the Warhammer universe. The narrative is engaging, and for fans of Dante or Warhammer 40K, it's a must-listen. It captures the essence of the universe, while providing a personal and in-depth look at one of its most iconic characters. I rate it 5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a deep dive into the lore of Warhammer 40K.

hope and melancholy

as with many warhammer novel seeking to introduce a great saga a pervasive sense of sorrow and determination permeate this book in the most complimentary way dante realy personifies the struggle the blood angels go through as a valient heros with demons haunting their physical bodies and minds to attain angelic stature. he's engaging and relatable but still maintains an air of gravitas and power a marine must. a bit low on action but made up for it with the focus on Dantes feeling and how they parallel and contrast through his long time in the imperium
