Publisher's Summary

When Brady Bunson first meets Jesse O'Neal, she's sick and dying from one of the illnesses ravaging the small shifter population. Thankfully, Jesse is actually an ideal candidate for Dr. Montgomery's work.... All the pain the Bunson family has gone through at the doctor's hands will finally save a life instead of ruining one.

Although Brady is falling for Jesse, he doesn't really know what to do with his emotions.

The Company is still out there, and his family won't be safe until they're taken down - and now that Jesse is a successful experiment using the same science, she won't be either.

He can't seem to stay away from Jesse, but can he really claim her as his own when he's about to go to war with the Company?

I love this series

Jesse is very ill with the disease that is ripping through the shifter community. While in a facility awaiting treatment or death she meets and falls for Brady. When an experimental treatment made by the man who destroyed Brady’s life. Will Brady and her find happiness through the challenges that they are facing or will Brady let her go. I love this series. The narrator seemed a bit shrill for me in the beginning but grew on me and the story allowed me to overlook the inconsistencies found within. Overall I enjoyed this audiobook very much.

Fun shifter romance!

Loved this book! Funny, sweet, and the romance is steamy. Great characters and highly entertaining story, I had trouble putting this one down. Fantastic narrator, she really captured the personalities of the characters. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

A great story but....

So, I really enjoyed this story. It's not the first I've listened to by this author. The plot is interesting and unique. The characters are relatable and well developed. I really appreciated the nerdy references because I'm more than a bit nerdy myself! I even love the way the sex scenes are written. The audiobook had the potential to be all the things I love in a good listen. Except for the narrator. She just wasn't a good fit for this book. The whole story felt rushed, there wasn't any real connection with the story from the narrator. That disconnect made it really hard to get into the story and enjoy it. It made me sad really. I'm happy to see the next book is narrated by someone different. Hopefully I'll enjoy it more.

Big Bad Bunnies Book Two

Big Bad Bunnies Book Two.

Jesse O'Neal has been afflicted by the Torch, an ailment that is deadly to small shifters like her. Jesse's entire family has been decimated by the Torch and the only ones still standing are Jesse, her brother, Daniel, and their aunt, Penny. Now that the Bunson siblings have been rescued from the Company, Jesse's family may have hope. When Brady Bunson meets Jesse and her family, he immediately feels a connection. If his family's suffering can save the lives of another family, he might be able to live with the tragedy of his past. As he continues to stay with Jesse, his feelings grow.

If you're looking for a different kind of shifter tale, this is the series for you!

unique paranormal romance

Loved the story and characters. Interesting plot with hybrid shifters, mad scientist, and an amazing mate story. Unfortunately this narrator was not my favorite, however the story was good.

A fun shifter romance with action

I received an Audible code from Audiobook Obsession (a Facebook group) for an honest review. What follows is my opinion and mine alone. There was no compensation for this review.

Chasing His Squirrel is the second in a many book series of shifter romances. Each book has a romantic storyline, but is a part of the overarching story about an evil group, known as The Company, and the shifters who work with the government to stop the illegal testing of humans and shifters alike.

The good thing is, I didn't really need to read book one to understand what was going on. The author makes sure to put in the important information down for the reader. However, it did seem to be a bit repetitive at times. I feel that once, maybe twice, is enough, but Chasing His Squirrel had it happen enough for me to really take notice. It did pull me away from the story for a few seconds, but I was back on it after that.

The story itself is a cute romance with the characters actually communicating with each other instead of having the normal misunderstandings that I've seen in other romances. I like that they were adults and acted like adults. I think I may have been reading less adult-oriented romances if this isn't a new thing, but still, I appreciate the maturity level of the characters and made me like their relationship more.

The narrator did a good job overall. There were moments that I was pulled away from the story, but I think that may have had more to do with the repetitiveness instead of the actual execution of the audiobook.

All in all, the story is cute, was fun, and had a bit of something different (the shifter hybridization in particular). I wouldn't mind reading more of the series.

Not Normal Shifters!!!

This book is about the smaller shifters such as bunny, squirrels and etc. These are Hybrid shifters which is an awesome twist to most shifter books. If you like shifter books you’ll enjoy this unique twist on shifters. It has romance, mystery, and adventure.
I loved listening to the narrator telling this story and think you will too.
I definitely recommend this book!

Fun shifter romance

Golden Angel’s Big Bad Bunnies series continues with Chasing His Squirrel the second book in the series. I had not read or listened to book 1 and this worked well as a stand alone with enough background to understand the continuing arc of the story.
I thought Brady and Jessica were a fun couple. Both have strong family ties which plays an important part in the book and series. I thought there was some serious chemistry and the Harry Potter references made me smile.
I must admit the narrator Killian Heilsberg was sometimes hard for me to listen to because of the pitch of her voice but that’s just a personal preference. Check out the sample to decide for yourself.

Big Bad Bunny world two

Nice continuation of the Big Bad Bunny world. The story moves the entire cast of characters from where book one left off. But now has the focus on Jesse and Brady. I had some odd editing issues in two chapters, as if the audio track was scratched (old school!) But it does not detract from the story.
