much like the GSK Audio book

This book is similar to the Golden State Killer bok that Audible produced (can't remember the name), with interviews and an almost news/documentary style. I love this being a huge fan of both non fiction, true crime, and this format. very well produced and a great insight especially from the woman who knew John Mohammed before he was Mohammed. use the credit, enjoy. even if you're not a fan of non fiction- this one is worth it.

Chilling and Captivating

I listened to this in its entirety in a single day while at work. The story was one I was completely unfamiliar with and was hooked almost immediately. The events are unfolded and delivered tactfully to keep you interested. My only complaint is that at the end and beginning of each chapter the same music plays as if this were episodes of a podcast or something. It started to get irritating after awhile.

Good reporting with a little too much sound design

I found this audio program interesting and would recommend it. My one caveat is that the soundscape is a bit too aggressive. Playing a bed of piano music under interviews to elicit emotion, for example, is a crutch used too often. The story is power and compelling enough that this sort of presentation took away from the narrative.

Excellent

This book is told from multiple viewpoints about the hunt and arrest of the DC snipers . It goes into lots of detail about all the behind the scenes things that happened. You get to know the FBI profilers, the killers, and several family members of the victims. A very well told story with great respect and attention to the victims. You really don’t get to know much about them by watching the news. It sounds as if our world lost some beautiful people the day these guys went on their rampage.

Couldn't Turn Off

I listened to this almost all the way through, I could not turn it off! It's definitely more of a podcast like what they did with Evil Has a Name (which I also highly recommend). The series does a fantastic job of giving an overview of the events and the investigative tactics used by law enforcement in this case, but it's also s very personal story as the main narrators were involved and their family members make appearances and speak about how the DC sniper attacks affected them. I'm really surprised I hadn't heard about this before, especially as I live fairly close to where one of the preliminary shootings took place. I hope they make more true crime podcasts like this and Evil Has a Name! Highly recommend!

Excellent!

Brought back lots of memories of the aftermath of 9-11 and the daily news of the snipers. Interesting facts about the first murder and how the 2 monsters became a team. Thank you for bringing forward the voices of the survivors and the families of the victims.

What they call music almost ruins the whole book

Great book, except for the noise that some would call “ Music” very unnecessary almost ruins the whole book

Worth every penny and every minute

Riveting, engaging, informative. I listened to the whole book in two days. I’m very finicky about audio books. Often the voices or audio production can inhibit the story; but this audio is perfect. Every voice was clear, and added depth to the story. Having the actual agents, officers, family members, victims, and survivors on the audio really kept this story completely human. Well done and worth listening.

Near Perfect

This audiobook feels more like a serial podcast, with music and first-hand interviews. Near perfect. Covers all the bases. I remember certain parts of this story. This audiobook helps fill in the gaps.

The format was excellent. It was easy to follow and very intriguing. I remember when this happened, it was way too close to home.
