Surprisingly a Great Story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book I was really surprised at how interesting i became I thought it was going to be another good book about WW2 but it turned out to be a really good story of brave men Heroes all

Needs to be Remembered

The stories of the Greatest Generation must not just pass into history.

How different the world would be if it wasn't for men such as the "Marne Men"

The author keeps you fully engaged in their stories, as he interweaves their stories together not concentrating on a single individual. We start in North Africa and end in Nuremberg!

Unflagging sacrifice and valor in the face of defeat

Like - excellent narration, good pace, right amount of details, satisfying wrap-up

Dislike - nothing. It is inevitably difficult to keep so many individuals straight while listening (or reading). But this is a small thing and the author refreshes the characters in a manner that helps the reader

I highly recommend this book

The Greatest Generation.

They sacrificed so much to stomp out fascism and far right wing ideology. I hope that their sacrifice was not in vain as we see fascism rearing its ugly head in the United States and around the world.

Reading “Against All Odds” profoundly affected me. The courage the WWII soldiers depicted and the impact it had on their post war years (both negative and positive) left me with a deep feeling of gratitude and appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
