Publisher's summary

Napoleon Hill, born into poverty in 1883, began writing as a reporter for small town newspapers while just a teenager. Industrialist Andrew Carnegie commissioned him in 1908 to interview over 500 successful men and women to help prove his theory that success could be distilled down to a clear-cut formula. In 1928, Hill's Philosophy of Achievement was published as The Law of Success. This life-changing guide has sold millions of copies and was his first master work before Think and Grow Rich, one of the best-selling books of all time.

Now you can hear 24 hours of the incredible philosophy upon which personal success is built, including:

  • The Master Mind...who can profit most by the Law of Success philosophy and your six most dangerous enemies
  • A Definite Chief Aim...instructions for applying its principles
  • Self-Confidence...heredity, the self-confidence formula, and the power of habit and discontentment
  • The Habit of Saving...walls of limitation, the slavery of debt, mastering the fear of poverty, "I have made a million dollars but I haven't got a cent," and opportunities that come to those who save
  • Initiative and Leadership...the penalty of leadership and intolerance
  • Imagination...how it relates to success
  • Enthusiasm...how it affects you and others, the psychology of good clothes, and the seven deadly horsemen
  • Self-Control...why poverty is the richest experience that can come to a child
  • The Habit of Doing More Than Paid For...The Law of Increasing Returns!
  • Pleasing Personality...three different plans
  • Accurate Thought...the principles involved in accurate thinking and a chief aim
  • Concentration...persuasion vs. force
  • Co-Operation...power through co-operation and your standing army
  • Failure...the turning points to opportunity
  • Tolerance...the plan
  • The Golden Rule...the power of prayer

    An Incredible Audio!

Napolean Hill was a man of humble beginnings and great intellect. His book, Think & Grow Rich was required reading for a marketing course I took in college. While that book was great, it was just the beginning. The Law of Success is even more incredible. It will make you rich, in both the depth of your soul and financially. Hill's 20 years of interviews with the most successful people will change your life as it did mine. Listen to its many hours slowly, take notes and reap the rewards from this incredible audio.

    Terrific Guide to Success

I believe I first read Think & Grow Rich about 30 years ago. I recently heard about this book and when I found it on Audible.com I had to check it out. Even though its quite long the chapters are in very well organized segments. Mr Hill's message is powerful medicine and the narrator does an excellent job. There is more value in this one book than in a dozen other self-help books and it should be required reading for anyone who wants to improve their position in life. I also believe it would be a great addition to the reading list for young people today who are just beginning their great journey through life. Highly recommended.

    Ultra-great Value for a 24+ Hours Audiobook

Great narrator, and loaded with useful tips and principles of success. This book teaches timeless principles. The Laws of Success is the true masterpiece of Napoleon Hill. Think & Grow Rich is a trimmed and summarized version of The Laws of Success. This audiobook is the first time that The Laws of Success comes in such audio version. This is a great audio to put into my iPod and iPhone!!

    Very Good book

Napoleon Hill's work is excellent. I would say that about 95% is absolutely correct. The only thing I don't agree with is that even though he does mention God in his phylosophy he doesn't give him appropriate credit. Also a few things such as telepathy and such does not agree with God's purpose for mankind. God created man with a tremendous ability, but man will always be "man" and will do great things "within" the human realm. Other than that, his phylosophy is excellent based on many bible principles. Dale Carnegie's work on the other hand does give God more credit, even mentioning his name "Jehovah".
I would recommend "in addition to reading the bible" reading both Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie's work. Even if you don't care about God or religion this book will help you.

    Don't miss it

It is the father of all self-improvement ideas. A holistic approach to all kind of success in life. You will never regret spending the 24 hours that is needed to finish the book. And more than that, it would be hard not to repeat the experience and have a second listen to the whole thing.

Eighty years later and it's still relevant

Although the longest audiobook I've listened to to date, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Of course, the classic book from Napoleon Hill is just a goldmine of useful information, but the narration by Grover Gardner was spot on. 24 hours is a long time to listen to the one voice (I listen whilst commuting and it took two weeks to get through) but Gardner spoke with such ease and familiarity that it was as though he wrote the book, unlike some books where you can tell the narrator has no idea of that of which he is narrating. Well worth it!

Wow, did i expect something different....

If you are willing to listen and accept the author's ramblings about things metaphysical then this book is for you.

After listening to the first hour or so i gave up.

I hope that I just did not read the summary good enough and that others read it fully before spending money/credits on this book.

I did try to find a review on Amazon.com, which I do with all the titles i purchase, but this appears to be audio only as there is no book that is reviewed at the time I purchased this from Audible.

Maybe the content changes in later chapters but I am already not wanting to hear the rest. I am betting that with all the pushing of the belief in ESP, brain-linking, and the etherial energies in the early portion of the audio content, that there is no way that the author will not pull every 'law' of success back to a basis of metaphysics.

I guess I should have researched the author and not the book title.

    Very Inspiring...

Though needs a heavy hand of an editor.

Many hours are passed by blabbering, song reading, sharing us with old world perceptions on the life, etc.
I think that modern women will not appreciate the author’s take on women’s role in her man's life. I also do not believe that Native Americans will appreciate the author’s take on the benefits that the white man brought into their lives, and so on.
Other than that, this course is very inspiring and educating. It's not just about money but will encourage everybody to check their own lives and attitudes.
After reading most of Mr. Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" I assume that the matching audible is much more effective and up to the purpose of whoever has interest in bringing wealth into their lives.

AMAZING! waited for this book whole my life

I was amazed to listen to this book and so you know it's impossible to listen to it just once even though its so long audiobook.

This author was ahed of his times...

His laws are to the point and not new age like you tend to see it and read it in many other books. I do believe if you will follow what he says we would all have what we want.
This book should be mandatory in any school. It motivated me to buy this book in paper because the information was so reach and I just couldn't stop the audio to write it down or give it more thought to it.

Read it and you will be happy you did.
