Publisher's summary

When a talented new player joins the perennially losing sub-minor-league hockey team the Fighting Aardvarks, it marks the beginning of a winning tradition. But things aren't as they seem, and players begin to change. Critic reviews

"Healy’s snickering, boyish humor is a highlight of this novel - from the characters’ postmodern comments on vampiric pop culture to the hockey teammates’ constant good-natured trash talking to the wry snarkiness of the 'narrator' (a lovely twist as to the identity of the narrator I won’t spoil for you, but wait for the delightful punchline) pull us through this story with tight action and a keen series of cliffhanger chapter endings." should be a movie

My favorite vampire story. Don't understand why nobody's pick this up for a movie. It would be an underground favorite. Unsung heroes in the Frozen North. Anybody that's been to the Fraser Valley can feel the cold. Gave me a new insight into hockey.

Combines everything you want in a good story: character development, humor, danger, and team.

Too bad we have to search diligently for these gems that are hidden from us by lack of attention because money nakersin publishing don't pushing them onto the bestseller Market.
