Very fun story. Really good character growth and world building. It was just a fantastic book and I can't wait for the next one.

Emotional slow burn. I laughed teared up and cheered for the fights. This book is amazing. Buy it. You won't regret it for a second.

Rocky meets the Matrix

thats how I'd describe this experience. look. Hondo, I first hear you from wangler and I must say this is a totally world changing experience!!! I bought Fight Town 2 already before finishing the first. love the story and the true (for lack of a better term) Heart... if you've ever been to a boxing or mma class. you'll love this book. if youve ever played a fighting game. youll love this book. if youve ever had a great friend in life. youll love this story. the characters are great. VA is top notch!!!! editing is near perfect with overlapping lines and dialog so smooth it puts big productions to shame.

so much fun

this is such a fun book. the characters grow in ways that I wasn't expecting and, while the MC wins in the end, he isn't OP and has to work for it. it is a slow burn which isn't bad in and of itself. I'm just waiting for the explosion. the MC is already tangling himself with 3 or 4 women and they are all my favorite types.

Can't believe how much I enjoyed it

Nothing like I was expecting and I'm so happy with that it's classic case of never judge a book by its cover I wasn't expecting it to turn into a real nitty gritty detailed book about boxing I enjoyed every minute of it

Hondo's Future (If he's smart).

So much better than the few titles of Hondo's I tried and ended up returning.
I haven't enjoyed his previous work. But this? This was quite enjoyable.
I removed 1 star because Johnny became surprisingly stupid when Hondo felt he needed to Barney-style the interactive HUD in the story.

People who enjoy litrpg stories are most likely gamers and don't need hand holding. It was frustrating listening to Johnny make wasteful decisions because he couldn't engage in some simple deductive reasoning. Or listen to what he was already told. Or just simply ask a few guarded questions to the people around him.
I ended up cursing Johnny out loud during these scenes. Almost every time Johnny ended up at the store I wound up wanting to slap the stupid out him.

Hopefully in the next book he's figured out how to not just watch videos about great boxers but also how to optimize his stats to mimic those great boxers.

I also enjoyed how this story wasn't bogged down in pointless sex scenes. I'm a little worried Hondo is setting the story up to be a harem-fuck-fest in the the second book.
Please don't. Add a girl a book. Keep it focused and grounded.

great audiobook. I hope book 2 hits soon on audio. I can't wait to see who makes it a harem... ? And see what everyone's response to his new levels..

His best yet!!

A completely unique cultivation tale. Jinx has developed a vibrant world and memorable characters. Despite enjoying H.J.'s works, I almost didn't buy this book, thinking that boxing simply couldn't be crammed within the cultivation novel framework. I figured wrong. This is a great story, and the narration was top tier. I'm eagerly awaiting book two,Thanks Hondo!

Off the top love the story line. If you know anything about boxing you can really appreciate this one. Can’t wait for more.
