I’ve always wanted to conquer the Big 5 dungeons ever since one of them took the life of my father nearly fifteen years ago. Nobody ever said the Path of Progression was easy, but my burning desire to dive can’t be quenched. I just never thought I’d be prohibited from getting a diving license just because I tried to help a bratty blonde girl get hers.

Soon, we’re joined by a lovely brunette bookworm, and we start diving the dungeon on our own terms. As it turns out, I have a few abilities that greatly increase our chances of actually finishing the Path, leading to a life of fame and luxury. Others soon notice the power I’m building though, and they’ll do anything to stop us.

I will conquer the Path of Progression with the help of my stunning companions.

That is unless the dungeon, or my secret enemy, kills me first.

This story contains action/adventure sequences, stat sheets for the main characters, and some slice-of-life elements.

yeah, no... i tried giving this one a second chance after my first time trying to listen to the story, but i just can't. The decisions of the characters make no sense, like for some reason, the mc tries to save the annoying elf when he freaking knows that she can be revived, then after they get their license they get annoyed and angry because another dude calls them up on the way the got their licenses and my final straw was the first time they fight together they get wiped out and the healer tells the mc that they were the only one wiped out like how!? none of the others had the chance yo work together before, but only them get wiped??? also, since they can revive people, how did the MCs dad die on a dungeon?? yeah, i got frustrated, so im completely dropping this one

Really enjoyed listening to this book and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

Great Book 1

I have mixed feelings when it comes to books that have sequels. On one hand there’s the excitement that there will (should) be another one, and then there’s the wait. I could nitpick a few things but it’d feel wrong because this was a very good story, characters and simple but effective world building. Now I have to wait for book 2 on audio because other than a little melodrama at a few points throughout the book the narrators nailed it. (And the melodrama works it’s just unexpected, lol!)

Great book. I'm a bit concerned that it might turn into one of those harem lit books that goes baby crazy. Babies are fine at the end of an adventure, in a rotating roster adventure, or in an adventure where some female leads stay at home. The adventures where the mom adventures pregnant lose some charm however. Not all harem lit fans have a pregnancy fetish. I would be surprised if very many do at all.

Another great book by Shane Hammond and Marcus Sloss. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.
