Decent Story

The story was decent, but there were a couple of issues. There were several story plots that were introduced and never resolved. Characters introduced and later altered for no reason. It felt like there was multiple large chunks of story missing and later reference to.

Amazing start horrible end

The first three books in the series were amazing consistent storylines great plot and amazing character development. But as soon as you start book for the story starts falling apart characters have unexplained changes to their behavior. Whole storylines are forgotten and it seems like the protagonist motivation changes and it just gets worse from there book 5 and six feel like they were written by two completely different authors with plot holes and storylines that don’t make sense and a random endgame villain that was not teased or even set up in the first three books. This is a shame as this series started off great but I felt like the author had no idea what to deal with the series after book 3 so he just kept the premise for book 4 and went completely off the rails for books 5 and six. I’m 90% sure he forgot about two of the female love entrances as they are hardly mentioned in book 5, and I don’t think I even heard their names in book 6. Overall, it started off great but after book 3, it falls apart.

I love this series so much and i love the narrators on this amazing project too!

first half good

the first half is a great listen and I would definitely enjoy that part more. the second half feels rushed and like there's a lot of missing details that are connected to the first along with peoples personalities changeing in complete 180 ways and the description of the characters change like how they smell to the main character

Apex Academy Omnibus

The MC is so dislikable. He acts like he know everything and treats his companions especially some of his mates with such condescension that you actively root for the “bad guys” to win. I have listened to 5 of the 6 books and while each book has progressively made me more and more upset at MC I’m stuck finishing it now. Unless you like a MC who is the master of the obvious and totally odious I’d skip this!!

Too much inner monologue

The MC acts like a young teenager that is never wrong knows everything and the whole world revolves around him. So far books 1 and 2 could have been a way shorter if he would have just told an adult what was going on. He is unlikable and can't say two sentences without having a 10 minute talk with himself constantly repeating the same information over and over again. There is a lot more wrong that get brought up in other reviews. For me listening to this as an adult I think it hits different. Doing things as a kid with no knowledge or experience believing you are going to come out on top no matter what is normal. It's the kinda of thinking a young man has before his brain is fully developed. To the writer: In the future please keep in mind most people hate inner monologue, especially when its full of what ifs that do nothing for the story but waste the reader/listeners time. It's not interesting and annoying.
