My heart!!

This book pulled at all of my heart strings ! What an emotional roller coaster . From one chapter to the next I needed more and more! I loved the characters and their bond. The narration were phenomenal!!!! Truly enjoyed the entire story!

Loved it!

This was book 3 in the honey mountain series. I loved this story. Age gap, single dad, nanny trope. The sweetest single dad and kids ever. They had the best relationship. Narration was great!

Small town, single dad/nanny romance!

3.5 stars! Make You Mine is the 3rd book in Laura Pavlov’s Honey Mountain series and I’ve been catching up with all of them on audio. This one is small town, has age gap (he’s 9/10 years older), single dad firefighter hero, and she becomes the nanny to his two daughters!

Jace is a firefighter and a single dad to his two daughters. Ashlan starts working as his nanny and he works with her dad too at the firehouse! This has age gap too, she’s 22 and he’s a decade older, but while they bring it up a few times it didn’t really feel like an age gap. Ashlan is wanting to write romance books as well and feels inspired with her new hot boss, Jace. We do also get some cute sick/caretaking scenes in here, first with her taking care of his sick daughters and then she gets sick and he takes care of her.

I really enjoyed the setup and first half of this one, but it started to lose my attention about halfway in. There was some drama with his ex involving custody and I just wasn’t feeling that part of the story. I had hoped to love this one since I love single dad/nanny setup, but this one just ended up being okay for me. I’m still determined to finish this series but I love the author’s Cottonwood Cove series so much more.

There’s so much to love in this book! Both Ashlan and Jace are in both of the preceding books and we know Ashlan has been crushing on Jace for awhile. Unfortunately Jace is caught in a very dysfunctional and unhappy marriage (with two daughters) in the previous books. At the start of Make You Mine Jace is now a single parent to his two daughters, he then hires Ashlan to be their nanny while she’s working on writing romance novels. Things take off from there (no spoilers here).

I loved the story between Jace and Ashlan and of course the girls falling in love with Ashlan as well. Additionally I loved the way Jace stood strong for Ashlan. It was different than most books I’ve read and it made me love him even more.

Really enjoyed the narration too!

Another incredible audio in this series!!!

Yet again, Sarah McEwan and James Gloucester continue to draw me in with their narrations of this series! The continued use of their voices in this series allows me to connect so much more to each Thomas sister as it flows from one family member to the next! Such a fantastic narration!

There is so much to love about this book! It is a single dad and age gap romance but also with a forbidden aspect as Ashlan is the nanny for his kids and he happens to also work for her dad at the fire station. First, Ashlan’s personality and frantic thoughts completely grabbed my attention into this book! She is so funny and had me smiling and laughing while listening to her thoughts during conversations. Then there is the banter between Ashlan and Jace which was incredible as there were always sexual innuendoes and remarks! Lastly, I love a good nanny book because there are always adorable kids and this one didn’t disappoint! Jace’s two girls are so freaking adorable in this book and stole the show sometimes. They completely enhanced this book! Another perfect book from the Thomas sisters!

Loved all of these so far! This was super cute!! Can’t wait for book 4!

This series is everything!

This book brought out all the emotions for me. Ashlan was so incredibly selfless in every part of this book. I truly wish I had another book to read that centered around these two!

Make you Mine is a perfect addition to this wonderful Honey Mountain series and it has everything that I love in a small town romance. So, get ready for a touching story filled with amazing characters that will warm your heart.
Jace is a swoon worthy firefighter and single father of two sweet young girls whose ex wanted nothing to do with the kids during and after their marriage. Now she is back and wants to take custody of the girls. Her reasoning behind this move is suspect, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a fight on his hands which may also derail his chance at enjoying the loving future that he has with Ashlan and his girls.
Ashlan is an inspiring author and takes a nanny position for Jace that works perfectly with her writing schedule, but what starts out a friendship between her and Jace easily becomes so much more to them all in a way they felt like a family. Now, their relationship is what may cause Jace to lose his girls to his ex so Ashlan makes a decision that breaks everyone’s heart because sometimes love means making those tough decisions and Ashlan will do whatever it takes to protect the girls.
I also had the added benefit of enjoying the audio version of this story and the narrators did an amazing job!
